Hero of the Week
Hero of the week this time is well known in the Kamloops quilting community.
Ellen Seminoff brought in several boxes of fabrics to go to the Sagebrush Quilter for donation quilts.
You would not believe what was in the boxes! Thimbleberries was the main fabrics but lots more! All beautifully organized and boxed. Cheryl Dyck came in with her husband to pick them up and was absolutely gobsmacked at this gift! I later received an email from Cheryl who states : "We had a chance to peek into the boxes and totes and the fabric selection is even better than we had imagined."
Thank you so very much Ellen for your generosity in giving these fabrics to the Sagebrush Guild. Don't you just get the warm and fuzzies when you hear of the quilter network in Kamloops working together for the betterment of all. All of the fabrics will be used in quilts for Hospice House.

Merle Cochrane
Merle Cochrane was in to long arm quilt this beauty of a mystery quilt on Wednesday.
This is Merle's 2nd quilt and she did fabulous using the "Carpet of Leaves" panto and glide thread for perfect results!

Marvin Ecker Trunk Show
Marvin Ecker will be here Sunday August 12th for a trunk show. Marvin has shown his work at several of the quilt shops up and down the valley as well as at Sun Peaks.
Marvin has an amazing collection of quilts he has made on his quilting journey and I am so excited to see them.
Remarkable in colour choices, modern design and the long arm quilting is jaw dropping!
Trunk show is here at the shop at 1 pm and the cost is $5 to help pay for his transportation. Please let us know if you are coming so I have an idea for number of chairs needed. Give us a call at 250-376-7630

Paulette Eccleston
Paulette was in on Tuesday to long arm quilt this great vintage quilt. I love the typewriters in the blocks which then brought to mind that I grew up using typewriters! I guess that makes me vintage!
Paulette used Modernish 2 panto, glide thread and then finished it off with some free motion work on the front. She actually stitched out the alphabet onto the sashings! It looked so cool!
