Hero of the week!!
Hero of the week is a 2 time Hero!
May Grigg was a hero last year with her incredible quilt she had made. Well, she has done it again!
May works all year hand appliqueing a queen size quilt and then piecing it all together to be donated to a Seniors home at the coast where her sister resides. Local long arm quilter Judy Anderson then does the quilting. The quilt is then raffled off and the money raised is used for functions in the center.
May does this all at her own cost and time. What an extraordinarily generous and kind person you are May! Thank you for sharing with us your creativity and spirit!

Did you notice the Gingerbread Village quilt in the photo above?
This is the one we will be starting in the new year. The patterns are ordered and should be here soon. You provide your fabric scraps for all the tiny bits. If you need some of the larger pieces ......I can help you with that....imagine!
Start looking for all your bibs and bobs for this one....lace, buttons, trims etc.
We are looking at running it as a sew group every month.

Marilyn Salle
Marilyn Salle was in to long arm quilt her gorgeous lap size quilt. I loved her colour choices and she did a great job on the quilting. Using Glide thread just makes the job so much easier .... no breakage and no tension issues.....so you can concentrate on the fun stuff! Great job Marilyn!

Islay Oatway
Islay Oatway was in to long arm this gorgeous quilt today! It wasn't one of her favorites but now that it is quilted she may change her mind......hmmmmmm.
She used a Pantograph called "Flirtatious" and of course the always gorgeous Glide thread for great results!

Val Bissat and hubby, Bill, were in to long arm two children's quilts in one day!
These two work very well together on the long arm machine and the results show it!

We have been super busy in the shop decorating and getting new product in and up on the shelves.
I have managed to get all the pre cut Batik product together in one shelving unit in the Batik area! This is seriously organized! You can just call me Martha! LOL!
The photo is just one of our new shelves for Flannel!
I should put a chair in front of the shelves so I can just sit and admire.....we have come a long, long way from one shelf and 40 bolts of fabric!
