Tilda is Coming!!!!

We are beyond thrilled to announce that we will be carrying Tilda fabrics starting this June!
Beautiful fabrics in palettes that you are going to just love! We have our orders in and are already adding to it so as to have plenty of choices in stock. Kits, precuts and fabrics on bolt.....This just makes me twitch I am so excited!
We will be doing pre orders as soon as we figure it out in the POS system. Hopefully this week or next.

Deb Bouffard

Deb Bouffard brought her delightful little Cats and Hearts quilt in to be long armed.This is one of those feel good quilts. You can't help but feel good and have a smile when you see it.  A small lap quilt suitable for the back of a couch or chair. Maybe for curling up on a bed with a good book.

Deb's quilt is long arm quilted using the E2E design called Dear Heart with Glide thread Apricot Blush for the top. A truly beautiful finish!

Sweet Surrender

New fabrics in the door and these are just so lovely! Northcott has done it again with their great prints and quality.

Sweet Surrender is up on the web and in the shop. We have chosen to kit it to the pattern Floral Log Cabins by Castilleja Cotton.
We do not have all the fabrics up as Coral, the magician on the computer, is away until Monday. Photo is the kit.

Elaine Laidlaw

Elaine Laidlaw brought her jaw dropping Dragon quilt in for us to long arm. Fabrics and panel are by In the Beginning Fabrics. This is from a couple of years ago so it may be a bit difficult to find. The fabric is called Dragons - Blue Fury.

Bill did the long arm quilting on this one using a E2E design called Celtic with Glide thread Aqua on the top. The backing is Minky for that soft plush look and feel.

This is the second quilt that Elaine Laidlaw brought in. Her 12 year old granddaughter made this one. Can you believe the talent in this girl? Working with a Dream Big Panel she added to get it up to the size she needed.

Leslie Ford is the long arm quilter on this one using E2E design Trillium and Glide thread Warm Grey 4 for the top.

Nancy Cuthbert, who happens to be Dodie Harding's sister, brought her beautiful Pinwheel in bright speckles in for us to long arm quilt. Nancy is a very exacting quilter with the most gorgeous points you have ever seen! On her quilt.
Bright colours on a white background are always a beautiful mix of colour and tone.

Leslie Ford did the Quilting using the E2E design called Flirtacious and Glide thread Thyme for the top. Beautiful quilting and a great choice in design as all those perfect seams are stitched down.

Sally Andrysiak brought in her Bonnie Hunter Indigo Way quilt to show us. 
As you may know, when Bonnie Hunter does a mystery quilt she has you making large quilts with over 1000 pieces per quilt!
I have seen several of them posted on Facebook lately and I have to say I am very partial to Sally's (not just because she is a client of ours) but because the pattern shows well. I also happen to really like her warm colour tones she chose. Makes me think End of Summer colours.

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Rick Walker of Wicked Edge

Rick will be coming in the second Wednesday of each month to sharpen your scissors and knives.

Have your items in to the shop by end of business on May 8th for them to be sharpened on the 9th.

Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.

Cost is $10 a pair scissors

Sewing Machine Repair

Bill is over to Salmon Arm each week to see his stepmom and will bring your machines over for Hector to service on the Wednesday.

Have your machines here by the end of business on Tuesday and you have your machine back on Thursday!
