Hero of the Week
Bill!

Bill is a hero 002

This is a fellow who truly deserves it! Bill has stepped up to the plate every single day in a thousand ways to help our shop.
He solves many of our computer issues, teaches long arming, delivers batting, hangs quilts and tries to keep Heather off the ceiling! We all just love this guy so much and can't even imagine this shop without him.
Thank you Bill for all that you are and all that you do! I am one very lucky lady

  quilt-show-2016-003

We are 2 Weeks Away from Quilt Show!
Quilt Show is taking place on April 28 & 29 from 10am to 5pm both days!
Admission is by donation and there will be hourly door prizes in the shop.
Some lucky person is also going to win a quilt from the quilt show across from us at the Seniors Center!
Over 200 quilts will be on display! No judging....just a fun event for everyone to show off what you have done! Think of it as a giant show and tell that has gotten a bit out of hand and now we have to rent halls and do all sorts of cool stuff!
Jennifer Smith will be here from HA Kidd showing all her new stuff from the warehouse. She will be in the shop all set up and bells on her toes! Come and see how the notions work and say Hi to one of the nicest ladies you would ever want to meet!
Start bringing your quilts in....I can't wait to see them all!
****A little teaser for you ----- some of our suppliers have donated prize baskets and you are going to be gobsmacked at what they have given! Maywood Studios has donated a basket worth $300 of fabrics, patterns and more! Jefferson's has donated a lamp and book, CSM has donated fat quarters, Cador has donated jelly rolls and fat quarters!****

Oldies but Goodies for the quilt show!

antique machine

The Antique section of last year's quilt show proved to be very popular so we will be repeating it again.

If anyone has anything to show please let us know. It can be sewing machines, sewing patterns, notions or other items of interest to sewers and quilters.

The Antique section of the show will be set up in Donna's Yarn and Craft store right across from us. She has an alarm system as well as ample room for the antique items to be displayed. Donna will also be hosting a fiber Arts show at the same time in her shop so please give us a call if you have any knitting, crochet, cross stitch or other hand work to show! She is pretty excited about this!

Give us a call at 250-376-7630 or email us at: info@fabricshelf.ca

Anne Redford

Anne Redford was in to long arm quilt this beauty of a quilt she made for her husband. This is her own pattern idea and I think she absolutely nailed it for colour and design!

Thank you Anne for sharing with us all!

Thank yous from Bill and Heather!

  thank-you

Bill and Heather would like to say thank you to all the lovely ladies on the Island that made us so welcome in your homes. We hope your machines are purring again and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Bill is back over the weekend of the 21 and 22 of April so he has a small window of opportunity to see your machine if you like. Just give us a call at 250-376-7630 or you can email us at info@fabricshelf.ca

Our apologies for the shorter then usual newsletter - with Heather busy on the island, this week's had to contain less content!
