Quilt Show Next Weekend!!!

 
Quilt Show is taking place on April 28 & 29 from 10am to 5pm both days!
Admission is by donation and there will be hourly door prizes in the shop.

  One lucky person is also going to win a quilt from the quilt show across from us at the Seniors Center!

Over 200 quilts will be on display! No judging....just a fun event for everyone to show off what you have done! Think of it as a giant show and tell that has gotten a bit out of hand and now we have to rent halls and do all sorts of cool stuff!

Jennifer Smith will be here from HA Kidd showing all her new stuff from the warehouse. She will be in the shop all set up and bells on her toes! Come and see how the notions work and say Hi to one of the nicest ladies you would ever want to meet!
Start bringing your quilts in....I can't wait to see them all!
****A little teaser for you ----- some of our suppliers have donated prize baskets and you are going to be gobsmacked at what they have given! Maywood Studios has donated a basket worth $300 of fabrics, patterns and more! Jefferson's has donated a lamp and book, CSM has donated fat quarters, Cador has donated jelly rolls and fat quarters! I just got word that Northcott will be sending some goodies as well! ****

Oldies but Goodies for the quilt show!

The Antique section of last year's quilt show proved to be very popular so we will be repeating it again.

If anyone has anything to show please let us know. It can be sewing machines, sewing patterns, notions or other items of interest to sewers and quilters.

The Antique section of the show will be set up in Donna's Yarn and Craft store right across from us. She has an alarm system as well as ample room for the antique items to be displayed.
You can bring your items in to Donna or our shop and we will get you all registered!

Donna will also be hosting a fiber Arts show at the same time in her shop so please give us a call if you have any knitting, crochet, cross stitch or other hand work to show! She is pretty excited about this! *** Please note: we are looking for recent fibre works as well as antique. Sweaters, scarves, mitts, blankets, woven placemats, bags, cross stitch and any other needlework projects you can think of are needed.***

Wendy White was in to long arm quilt this beauty of quilt last week!
It is an I Spy quilt she made from fat quarters she collected from everywhere she went.
Wendy says she has enough fat quarters left to make 2 more!

Kathleen Alcock

Kathleen Alcock was in to long arm quilt this gorgeous modern quilt.
She free motion quilted the entire quilt and was done in 2 hours!

She used a soft lavender shade of Glide thread and meandering stitching.

This one is by Robert Kaufman and is so cute! There are 2 zippered compartments on the inside as well as lots of room for all your quilting necessities. Except no room for wine. You can fit a box of Smarties easy. LOL

Donna Rickman

Donna Rickman was in yesterday to learn how to use our long arm.
She quilted up this little beauty of a Christmas quilt using a green Glide thread and Bumpity Panto pattern.

She just rocked this one! You should see this girl motor along!
