Annemarie Fraser was in to long arm quilt her gorgeous Jinny Beyer applique quilt. This one is just incredible with the rich deep Jinny Beyer colour tones and the applique is an added bonus. Paper Piecing in alternate blocks.
Annemarie says this is a "one and done". She has now tried applique and it is just not her favourite technique. She certainly is very good at her applique! Also note her well done mitered corners! Bill said they are some of the best he has seen!

The border on this one is spectacular. In true Jason Yenter fashion, the borders are unique in colour and design.
Rich Autumn tones of reds, golds, browns, greens and cream this quilt is a stunner!
Finishing at 60" x 60" this one is rated a confident beginner to intermediate. Beautiful size for your dining table! Picture a lovely bottle of Merlot and wine glasses to decorate!

Annette Nicholson brought her beautiful Catty Corner quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. The fabrics in purples, teals and greys are just gorgeous! What a great pattern!
Quilt finishes at 65 x 83 so a nice twin or large lap size. Quilt was quilted by Leslie Ford using the E2E design Tendrils with Pearls and Glide thread Peacock for the top.

Anne Townley was in to purchase the Sacred Earth block panel and created this amazing Table runner and placemat set! What an imagination this girl has! Those vibrant colours and clear prints were used to maximum effect! I love the way she kept the pattern simple to allow the fabric to do the work for her!
No pattern, she just used her imagination to border the runner, kept the blocks for the placemats on their own and called it a day! A one of a kind and beautiful project Anne!

Tanya Knippleberg brought her beautiful Bold Stars quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. Tanya's piecing is perfect and makes it so easy to quilt. Everything lined up just perfect and her colour placement is spot on!
Leslie Ford did the long arm quilting using the E2E design Tendrils with Pearls and Glide Linen thread for the top. A subtle but very classy look to the quilt.

Pat Muldoe

Pat Muldoe was in to long arm her placemat set. Pat made the placemats from a kit that we had in called Pick 6 from Robert Kaufman.
She pieced all the placemats and them brought them in for help from Bill to put them all onto one piece of backing and then quilted them using a Chicken Wire E2E design. Now all she has to do is trim them off and apply the binding and there you go! How clever is that?

Gina Barrett came in to long arm quilt her Crazy Animals quilt with help from Leslie Ford. I loved her use of the bright colours and throwing the black and whites in there just made everything really pop!
Gina chose the E2E design Heart Song and glide thread Apricot Blush for the top. A fabulous quilt that is going to be much loved I am sure!

Cutting Table for Sale

We have a customer wanting to sell her cutting table. This table is a height of 35.5" closed and 34.5" open with a width closed of 15.5" and open of 31" . The length of the table is 48" so a nice size for most of your cutting needs.
Folds up nice and compact and easily extended when needed. This sewing/craft table is in excellent condition and ready for your sewing room!

We have a Millie and a Lucey currently available. These come with or without the computer.
My opinion is that you want the computer. It is such a time saver and enables you to have a very professional finish!
The Millie is on a 12' frame and the Lucey is on a 10' frame.

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Rick Walker of Wicked Edge
Rick will be coming in the second Wednesday of each month to sharpen your scissors and knives.
Have your items in to the shop by end of business on Aug. 13th for them to be sharpened on the 14th.
Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.
You can phone me at 250-376-7630 or email me as well to let me know how many scissors/knives are coming.
Cost is $10 a pair scissors

Sewing Machine Repair

Hector and Tammy will not be doing sewing machine repairs for the next two weeks due to the School machines needing servicing during the summer break.
Everything will resume back to the usual July 24th. Have your machines in by noon on July 23rd to get them back within a day or two.
