On the Road Again for Bill
| |
Bill is heading out on the road in a couple of weeks again, this time for all of you in the Fraser Valley.
The plan is for him to head over to the Island on the weekend of August 26th for a couple of days and then head back home.
On his way he is planning on stopping in the Valley for most of the week to get services done.

Gayle Matkief brought her amazing Tumbling Blocks quilt in to be quilted and WOW did this one ever pop! The fabrics are all RJR Jinny Beyer fabrics for that rich toned finish.
Leslie Ford, the long arm quilter, used the digital design Entangle and Glide thread Prickly Pear for the top of the quilt. Quilt finished at 60" x 84".

Connie Falk brought her incredible queen size Wilderness themed quilt in for us to long arm for her. Connie started with a panel and grew the quilt out from there. This one is a keeper for Connie and her husband.
The quilt was longarmed using the digital pattern Pinecone Meander with some digitizing happening to make the design suitable for the size and theme of the quilt.

Neila McKee brought her lovely 1930's Reproduction quilt in for us to long arm for her. Neila had the jelly roll for years and was bound and determined to use it and have a fresh cozy little quilt.
Leslie Ford long arm quilted using the digital design called Pansies and Glide thread Lemon Ice for the top. This was a lovely quilt to long arm and such a delight to see the finished quilt!

Here we have one of the Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilts in to be quilted. Willa Dale is the quilt artist and creator of this amazing quilt! A ton of piecing in this one and I have to say.....her piecing was fabulous!

Shirley Chizma was in to long arm her gorgeous Folk Art quilt. This one is a bit special as Shirley and her sister made the quilt so is that not a very cool memory? The rich colours of golds, cranberries, greens and chocolate browns is so gorgeous!
Shirley long arm quilted using the digital pattern Diana with Glide thread Vegas Gold for the top. This is such a lovely quilt you just want to curl up with a good book and have a lazy "all about me kind of day" .

Liz Bruce picked up the perfect fabric from our shop and created these amazing curtains for her granddaughter, Evelyn. Liz used the old blackout curtains as the lining and they turned out fantastic!
I love to hear of different things that people have found to make using fabrics. So interesting!

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Wicked Edge
We have discovered a fellow in town, Rick Walker, a fully certified, scissor sharpener who will come and sharpen your scissors here at the shop.
Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.

Cost is $10 a pair.

Sewing Machine Repair
| |
Hector and Tammy are back doing machine services so bring your machines in by end of day on Tuesday and Bill will get them over to Hector for Wednesday. Your machine will be back the next day, unless there is further work to be done.
Prices on a machine service are as follows:
