Change in our Hours
|
|
Starting December 1st we will be closing at 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so my staff can be driving home in daylight. I know.....I need to stop being a mother hen to them, but old habits are hard to break! Friday and Saturday hours are from 10 to 5pm. I will probably still send them home at 4 because I will worry myself half mad if I don't. This is for December and January only at this time. Thank you to everyone for your understanding.

Verna Miller
|
|
Verna Miller was in to long arm quilt this monster sized quilt by Quiltworx. Finishing at 98" x 111" this one is a big one. Verna says that she is going to machine sew the binding on so it can be done before Christmas!
Quilt pattern is called 3 Ducks in a Row by Quiltworx. She thinks she got the pattern about 2009 so it may be discontinued.
If anyone else has made the pattern we would love to see your versions!
For Verna's version she used the E2E design Flirtatious with Glide Apricot Blush for the top.
Fabulous, Verna, and thank you so much for sharing the day and your quilt with us!

Tanya Knippelberg

Tanya Knippelberg brought her incredible little Christmas Tree quilt in to be long armed. Tanya's piecing is fantastic with everything lining up perfectly. I loved everything about this quilt. The pattern, the fabrics, the colours and check out the picture below for what the long arm quilting looks like!
The quilt was long arm quilted by Leslie Ford using the E2E design Snow Winds but it was digitized to more dense than the default. Thread is Glide Pearl.
Thank you to Tanya for sharing!

Debbie Dobson brought in her brilliant quilt done using Flying Geese blocks and simple rectangles. The border by In the Beginning fabrics is just the icing on the cake! The border is fairly wide with brilliant florals which pull all the fabrics together!
Debbie chose the E2E design Butterfly Dance with Glide thread Rainbow for the top of her quilt!
Thank you to Debbie for sharing!

Juanita chose to have the quilt longarmed with the E2E design called Christmas Doodle. Using Glide thread Candy Apple Red she really picked up on the spirit of the season.

Joan Frazier
|
|
Joan Frazier is like the Energizer Bunny....she just keeps going and going. This time she brought 2 quilts in for us to long arm quilt for her. First up we have her amazing stash quilt all made in blues. She must have been sewing patches for days on end! I really like the dark frames around the blocks which make the fabrics stand up and pay attention! I also think the white blocks in the quilt are fabulous for a clean crisp finish!
Quilt is long arm quilted with the E2E design Flirtatious which a great quilt design for when you want to lock down a lot of seams but not have it look like rows. Thread chosen is Glide Blizzard for the top.
Thank you to Joan! You are amazing!

Joan Frazier #2

|
Here we have Joan Frazier again but this time with a lovely little lap quilt. She has a bit of an unusual colour combination but holy smokes......did she ever make it work! Lots of pieces in this one with lots of technique to pay attention to. Joan is pictured with Mr. Bill as he was the long arm quilter on her quilt. What a great photo!
Joan chose Entangle for her E2E design with Glide Peacock for the top thread.
Thank you so much Joan! You sure brighten our days in here!
