And 2020 Continues!

oh-no-image

This wonderful year of 2020 continues to be just fabulous....being very facetious as I say that!

Bill has a foot infection and it is very serious.

We are not scheduling anyone in to long arm in January until we know what is going to happen. All appointments between now and December 22nd, as well as anyone who is already booked for January,  we are covered with the help from Lori Dewart, who I can't even begin to thank enough.
If you see Lori please give her a distanced hug or better yet send her an email at lorid@shaw.ca
Maybe we can even get some smiles and chuckles in the midst of all this mess.

As a side note to any of you that have Diabetes.....please please please watch your feet. Bill may [ and probably will] be losing the big toe and hoping not the foot in order to save the leg. It has been an incredibly stressful and difficult past week or 2.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding while we muddle our way through this.

We are still accepting quilts to be quilted though, so please bring them on in and really appreciate your supporting our long arm department of the store.

Diana Hewins

Diana Hewins front with feathers

Diana Hewins was in to long arm quilt her absolutely gorgeous quilt she made with Kaffe Fasset fabrics for the feathers and a solid black for the background.

The black background really makes those feathers stand out! Diana chose to use the computer as she finds it so much easier on her body and she has so much more opportunity for pattern choices.

You will see in the second photo below the backing she created for the quilt. The back is as awesome as the front. Diana is just so creative and has very good colour sense so it seems so easy and natural for her!

Thank you to Diana for sharing with us all!

Paulette Eccleston

paulette-eccleston-stars-quilt

Paulette Eccleston was in to long arm quilt her beautiful quilt made from scraps.

Can you believe this is actually made from scraps??? She did have fabrics that I recognize from the 1990's and early 2000's.

She also has some newer fabrics in the quilt. With a traditional pattern and a modern twist she has one very interesting project!

Thank you to Paulette for inspiring everyone with your creativity!

Sheila Gibbs

sheila-gibb-christmas-runner

Sheila Gibbs was in to long arm these gorgeous table runners by using the computer. Wouldn't you just love to have these on your table this Christmas?

Again, Sheila loaded both runners at the same time and was able to quilt them both. An excellent use of time and the design of Christmas ball decorations was perfect!

Remember we are still getting all our December clients through with their projects and will continue to accept quilts for us to quilt for you, if you choose that option.

Thank you to Sheila for letting us be a part of your quilt story!

Jackie Thomson

jackie-thomson

Jackie Thomson brought her jaw dropping Celtic quilt to us to quilt and here it is all ready for the binding!

The backing on this quilt is a Camel coloured wide back Minky. We tried a dark brown but the Camel Minky won out as it just blended perfectly!

This quilt is a big one and is just gorgeous in design, colour and the quilting done by Lori Dewart was just amazing!!

Jackie, thank you so much for letting us be a part of this awesome quilt story. As a side note.....she is definitely keeping this one! I would too!

Becky Geeson

becky-geeson-5

Becky Geeson was in to long arm quilt her awesome quilt that is so reminiscent of ocean waves. I think it is the Drunkards Path pattern as well as the colour pallette she has chosen.

What was quite interesting was that Becky chose a variegated thread in black, grey and white. I never would have thought of that but it really worked well with all the fabrics.

Edge to edge design chosen was called Seamless and Becky chose to drive the machine herself. She went home with a quilt all ready for binding and a label!

Thank you Becky for sharing with everyone!

Debbie Ulinder

debbie-ulinder-i-so-want-it-to-be-summer

Debbie Ulinder was in to long arm quilt her awesome lap quilts. I wasn't sure of the name so I have called them "I so want it to be Summer".

Debbie chose to use the computer for perfect results using a design called Rip Curl which was perfect! With Lori Dewart's help she had the 2 quilts done in no time and went home with them done and ready for binding!

Just have to love that computer!
Thank you to Debbie for sharing and giving us all something to look forward to!
