Meet Your Neighbour

005-5

This week I would like you to meet Lorraine Silbernagel. We have know Lorraine a long time and count her as a friend as well as a customer.

Lorraine was born and grew up in Vancouver, BC. Actually, she grew up not far from where I lived when I was a young child! Small world! Lorraine attended Vancouver Tech school and after graduation went to work at the Royal Bank.

She married in Vancouver and later lived in Victoria before moving to Kamloops and settling here. She raised her 3 children here and continues to be a Kamloops girl.

Lorraine's mom was a sewer and she learned along the way between courses in school and from her mom. Through the years she was working she was mainly garment sewing but upon retirement decided to take up quilting.

Now that she has the time to spend on her quilting she is a pretty prolific quilter. Always open to sharing ideas with others, Lorraine has a gift for getting others to share her passion in quilting.

When asked what her favourite part of quilting is she answered: "The buying of the fabric!" We all can appreciate that sentiment Lorraine!

Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself with us all Lorraine. Happy quilting!
