Carlina Stewart

carlina-stewart-sampler ‌

Carlina Stewart came in to longarm quilt her stunning Sampler quilt. The quilt is called Tightrope with the most gorgeous teal fabric ever! Just loved it!

Carlina started with one block that got the quilt going and then built it from there. I love Sampler quilts and this one would look great in my house.....just saying......and it is the Christmas Season. LOL

The digital design chosen is Modern twist with Glide thread Medium Grey on the top. Leslie Ford was the helper on the quilt.

Well done Carlina and thank you for sharing with us all.

‌

Brenda Cooper

brenda-cooper-magic-tiles-modified ‌

Brenda Cooper brought her amazing Magic Tiles Modified in to show us. The block normally has 9 pieces but she adapted the pattern to just have 4.

The border Brenda designed herself and it is perfect! Beautiful balance of colour and pattern. Brenda also added a very small white flange to the binding which really set it off!. On top of all that, she took her 70" square quilt and did the quilting herself under her domestic machine!!!

Good lord Brenda you are amazing!!!

‌
‌

Ruth Weser

ruth-weser-ocean-fun ‌

Ruth Weser brought 2 of her incredible quilts in for us to longarm for her. First up is the ocean quilt. The fabrics and colours are just gorgeous!

Ruth loves to work on larger quilts with lots of interesting elements. She nailed it on this one for sure.

The digital design is called Ocean with the top thread being Aquamarine. The design is very aquatic looking as you can guess from the name. Leslie Ford was the longarm artist on this one.

Thank you to Ruth for sharing with us all!

‌

Ruth Weser

ruth-weser-new-dauwn-elephants ‌

Ruth Weser also brought in this jaw dropping quilt for us to longarm for her. She started with the New Dawn panel by Northcott and built it from there.

Her choice in accent colours and balance of blocks and tones is absolutely perfect! Bed sized as is the one above, someone is going to be pretty darn happy with this one!

Digital design  for the longarm quilting is called Oodles of Doodles and the top thread is Glide Warm Grey 6. Leslie Ford is the longarmer on this one.

Thank you to Ruth for sharing with us all!

‌

Lindsey Wourms

lindsey-wourms-frosted-forest ‌

Linsey Wourms pieced this lovely flannel quilt for a gift for Christmas. Doesn't this quilt just make you want to curl up with it on the sofa and read a good book with a glass of wine, some chocolate and watch the snow coming down? Okay back on task Heather.....

The quilt is called Frosted Forest with the digital design First Snowfall. Top thread is Glide Cream.

Thank you to Lindsey for sharing with us all!

‌
‌

Terri Turiff

Terri Turiff came in with her daughter, Lindsey, to pick up the quilt shown above. She ended up getting roped into helping hold the quilt up and was a good sport about it all. Actually she had a rocking good time as you can see from her face!

Thank you to Terri for giving me great hugs and warming my heart! Love my customers!

‌
‌

Lynda Dingwall

Lynda was over the top excited and thrilled with this quilt! Was all she expected and then some! Leslie Ford is the longarmer on the quilt.

Weekly Quilting Tip

9-patch-intersection-wrong-side ‌

Today's Weekly Quilting tip is to do with pressing. Pressing is huge in quilting and I do admit it took me a bit to understand how important.

Your piecing accuracy will improve immediately when you take a bit of time to press your quilt blocks as you make them. And setting seams before pressing allowances to one side is an excellent way to instantly improve your patchwork.

You might think extra pressing will slow you down, but you'll find that you actually save time when properly pressed quilt blocks fit together just like they should, without grabbing the dreaded seam ripper.
