Carlina Stewart came in to longarm quilt her stunning Sampler quilt. The quilt is called Tightrope with the most gorgeous teal fabric ever! Just loved it!
Carlina started with one block that got the quilt going and then built it from there. I love Sampler quilts and this one would look great in my house.....just saying......and it is the Christmas Season. LOL
The digital design chosen is Modern twist with Glide thread Medium Grey on the top. Leslie Ford was the helper on the quilt.
Well done Carlina and thank you for sharing with us all.

Brenda Cooper

Brenda Cooper brought her amazing Magic Tiles Modified in to show us. The block normally has 9 pieces but she adapted the pattern to just have 4.
The border Brenda designed herself and it is perfect! Beautiful balance of colour and pattern. Brenda also added a very small white flange to the binding which really set it off!. On top of all that, she took her 70" square quilt and did the quilting herself under her domestic machine!!!
Good lord Brenda you are amazing!!!

Weekly Quilting Tip
| |
Today's Weekly Quilting tip is to do with pressing. Pressing is huge in quilting and I do admit it took me a bit to understand how important.
Your piecing accuracy will improve immediately when you take a bit of time to press your quilt blocks as you make them. And setting seams before pressing allowances to one side is an excellent way to instantly improve your patchwork. You might think extra pressing will slow you down, but you'll find that you actually save time when properly pressed quilt blocks fit together just like they should, without grabbing the dreaded seam ripper.
