Sagebrush Guild Show
The Sagebrush Quilters Guild is presenting their Quilt Show May 3rd and 4th here in Kamloops! I am so excited to see this happening! We will be there with bells on our toes and look forward to seeing everyone!

Linda DeBelser

Linda DeBelser brought 2 of her amazing quilts in for us to long arm quilt for her. First up we have her Winter Wonderland quilt.
Linda started with the panel and grew it out from there. She couldn't find the darker inner border anywhere and ended up ordering it from the UK! The wonders of the Internet!
The quilt finished at 60" x 84", long arm quilted by Leslie with Glide thread Arctic for the top. The digital design chosen is Snow Clams.

This is the second of the quilts that Linda brought in to be long arm quilted. Again starting with a panel and growing it out this is just so darling!
Linda chose one of the cutest designs....Mushrooms...and it is absolutely spot on! Using Glide thread Lemon Ice for a soft look this quilt is going to be much loved!

Judy Gibbard brought her Canada quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. She used a Log Cabin Layout with the black background really making the logs pop up and say EH!
Leslie Ford quilted the quilt using the digital design called Bear, Moose and Pines with Glide thread Black for a spectacular finish! A fabulous quilt Judy!

Bonnie Smith

Bonnie Smith brought her jaw dropping amazing quilt Into the Nature for us long arm quilt for her. This was a kit we had in the shop and Bonnie just fell in love with the sample on the wall made by Marg Kinney!
This is a big quilt finishing at 92" x 112" and the colours are just beautiful! Leslie Ford did the quilting using the design Woods. Relatively simple piecing it turned out amazing and Bonnie is thrilled to the tips of her toes!

Kim Schmitt was in to long arm quilt her awesome little Canada theme quilt. This one is for a very lucky "Kim" who is going to just love it! April was so much fun to have in the shop, her enthusiasm is contagious and her sense of humour is fabulous!

Sharon March was in to show us her latest project she created. Sharon used Patrick Lose fabrics "Glisten" and the results are incredible! Her artistry is just amazing!
Beautifully pieced and her applique stitching done by machine is also fantastic! I am feeling like a slug compared to all these amazing quilters out there!

A gorgeous line of fabrics from Northcott called Cedarcrest are now in our store! This is just an amazing blend of colours and tones. If you are looking for a kit or fabrics representative of Canada this just may be the ticket!
The kit is a large lap size but easy enough to add to making it for a bed size. We have the wide backing as well priced at $33.99 which for the lap quilt works out to roughly $50!

CanGo Grannies Quilt
We have some very exciting news of an event coming in March to our shop! We will have on display this incredible piece of quilted artwork for everyone to see and enjoy! I am so honoured to have this happening in our shop!
The CanGo Grannies have been part of the national quilt that celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the Grandmothers to Grandmothers organization that is part of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. The quilt is now travelling across Canada and will be in Kamloops March 15 and 16th at our shop!!!. Come on over to see this incredible piece of artwork and support this very worthwhile cause! There is no cost to come and see and learn more about it.

Sewing Machine Repair

Bill will not be bringing machines over to Salmon Arm the week of Feb. 21st due to a family emergency. This will resume the following week Feb 28th.
Machine servicing by Hector and Tammy Symes for a great job and fast turn around. Bill is over to Salmon Arm each week to see his stepmom and will bring your machines over for Hector to service on the Wednesday.
Have your machines here by the end of business on Tuesday and you have your machine back on Thursday! ***Please note there has been a rise in the prices due to their costs increasing***
Prices on a machine service are as follows: Basic non Electronic : $110.00 Electronic : $130.00 Embroidery Fancy Dancy : $160.00

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Rick Walker of Wicked Edge
Rick will be coming in the second Wednesday of each month to sharpen your scissors and knives.
Have your items in to the shop by end of business on March 12th for them to be sharpened on the 13th.
Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more. You can phone me at 250-376-7630 or email me as well to let me know how many scissors/knives are coming.
Cost is $10 a pair
