CanGo Grannies Quilt
Save the dates! March 14 and 15th CanGo Grannies quilt will be here!
We have some very exciting news of an event coming in March to our shop! We will have on display this incredible piece of quilted artwork for everyone to see and enjoy! I am so honoured to have this happening in our shop!
The CanGo Grannies have been part of the national quilt that celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the Grandmothers to Grandmothers organization that is part of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
The quilt is now travelling across Canada and will be in Kamloops March 14 and 15th at our shop!!!.
Come on over to see this incredible piece of artwork and support this very worthwhile cause! There is no cost to come and see and learn more about it.

Sagebrush Guild Show
The Sagebrush Quilters Guild is presenting their Quilt Show May 3rd and 4th here in Kamloops! I am so excited to see this happening! We will be there with bells on our toes and look forward to seeing everyone!

Sweet Hearts

We have kitted Toni Whitney's design called "Sweet Hearts" for you to create for someone special in your life or maybe just for yourself! Absolutely adorable this one finishes at 17" x 21" and includes all the fabrics for the top and binding as well as the pattern.
We did not have the exact fabrics that are shown on the cover, but we managed to get pretty darn close! All fabrics are batiks. Priced at only $39.99!!!

Toni Slywka brought her gorgeous lap quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. It was wonderful to see the quilt that is a real harbinger of spring! The colours, the flowers and especially the little birds! Beautifully done Toni!
Bill did the long arm quilting on this one using a pattern called Daisies Galore and Glide thread Pink Lemonade for the top. Doesn't the names of the pattern and the thread colour just make you feel like spring is right around the corner?

Is this not a fabulous quilt showing off panel blocks to their best? Leslie Heppner pieced the quilt and then brought it in to be long arm quilted. Leslie is a fabulous piecer with lovely straight seams and pressing. She is a bit of a keener!
Leslie Ford did the long arm quilting using digital design Hip Kitties with Glide thread Warm Grey 4 for the top.

Jeanne Vanderwal

Jeanne Vanderwal is a master at the vintage style quilts with loads of interesting elements. Pattern for the quilt is called Sweet Potato with digital design Elizabeth and Glide thread Peacock for the top.
The quilt is sampler style quilt, one of my favourites, as I don't get bored with all the blocks the same. Love Jeanne's colour palette!

Marla Pinchin

Marla Pinchin came in to long arm quilt her awesome quilt with Bill. Marla has done long arm quilting for many years, but no longer has a machine and had never used the computer. I have to say the computer was a huge hit for her!
Quilt pattern is BQ3 with a great mix of orange, greys and pops of blue! Finishing at 54" x 74" this one will be a much loved lap quilt or curl up on the couch quilt. Digital design chosen is Sea Worthy with Glide thread Apricot Blush for the top.

Take a look at this incredible quilt that Ruth Weser did! This is a big quilt finishing at 89" x 113". I love the colours she has used! Great contrast between the lights and the darks....and check out the pop of orange for the chimneys in the centre of the blocks!
Leslie Ford is the long arm magician on this one using the digital design I Dream of Feathers and Glide thread Mulberry for the top.

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Rick Walker of Wicked Edge
Rick will be coming in the second Wednesday of each month to sharpen your scissors and knives.
Have your items in to the shop by end of business on March 12th for them to be sharpened on the 13th.
Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.
You can phone me at 250-376-7630 or email me as well to let me know how many scissors/knives are coming.
Cost is $10 a pair

Machine servicing by Hector and Tammy Symes for a great job and fast turn around.
Bill is over to Salmon Arm each week to see his stepmom and will bring your machines over for Hector to service on the Wednesday.
Have your machines here by the end of business on Tuesday and you have your machine back on Thursday!
