Knitting and Spies?

I posted this article years ago as I thought it was just so interesting! The knitters would knit the information into the patterns and forward it on to Resistant fighters. Can you imagine doing something like that?
Have a read and share it onward to others that may be interested. Enjoy! Click on the Read More sign.

Tanya Knippleberg
| |
Tanya was in to long arm quilt her gorgeous Puff quilt. I was really curious to see what she had in mind to quilt it as obviously stitching all over is not going to work. Flattening the puff squares is not an option. She chose to stitch it with no computer and just on the stitching lines. With a minky backing it is just gorgeous! Thank you so much to Tanya for sharing with us all!

Diana Hewins

Diana Hewins was in to long arm quilt her incredible Carnival Quilt by Quiltworx.Diana pieced this large quilt (99 ' x 99") on retreat as well as at home. She omitted the dots around the flower and it is lovely! She chose to use the all over design called bubbles for a subtle look so not to take away from the quilt itself. The thread used for the top is Glide Light Grey. The quilt was a kit done by Anne Hall of #sewpeaceful of the most incredible batiks in pinks, burgandies, greys and ivories. Thank you to Diana for sharing with us all!

The quilt is a big one finishing at 100" x 100". Shirley chose the E2E computer design Heart Blossoms and Glide thread Grain. The Glide thread is a variegated Affinity. Batting is Hobbs 80/20 120" wide. Thank you to Shirley for sharing your awesome quilt with everyone!
