Meet Your Neighbour

002-10

This week I would you to meet Hector and Tammy Symes of Hector's Mobile Machine Services.

Hector was born in Quesnel and Tammy was born in Rocky Mountain House. The two met on a beach in Kelowna and have been inseparable since then! Married for 22 years with one daughter they are just the cutest couple ever!

Hector's mom and her partner were owners of sewing machine stores for many years so Hector grew up around the business. His mom was a Pfaff dealer and owned Kaleda Sewing Center, Colleen's Sewing Center and many others over the years. Hector was trained by Horst [partner and repairman with Hector's mom] and has so much knowledge it is amazing!

Tammy came into the business side of things several years ago when it was decided she wanted to spend more time with her hubby. I told you they are just so darn cute! Tammy works right along side with Hector and does a fabulous job! They service machines from the Osoyoos up the Okanogan Valley to Revelstoke and more!

Hector and Tammy come to our shop every 2 weeks on a Thursday to do repairs and servicing on all makes of machines. Their next day to come to our shop is January 31st. Just give us a call at 250-376-7630 to let us know you have a machine coming in so we have an idea for Hector and Tammy.

Nice to know a little bit more about you both! Love it when you come up from Kelowna to see us!

Quilt Show April 27/28th

quilt show

Just getting the word out early for everyone. We are having our quilt show this year April 27/28th. As always the quilt show will be right here in the Brock Shopping Center, in Kamloops, BC.

Our quilt show costs nothing to enter a quilt and everyone is welcome. If you can let us know how big your quilt is that is helpful for arrangement of the quilt racks.

We would love to see what you have been working on currently or in the past. The quilts shown are modern, antique, traditional and can be bed quilts, bags, clothing, runners and placemats or anything else that you have made from fabrics.

Entry to see the show is by donation to offset the costs and proceeds go to charity. I am cracking my whip, ladies, so you can get your quilts in!
