Update on Bill and the Long Arm

Bill with computer

Bill is healing well and will be off of the suction pump by the end of January and then the rehab starts. He also is off some of the medications so that should help with sleep and appetite.

We are slowly opening up the long arm program with a few times a week for customers to come in to long arm their own quilts. You will have to work as Bill can't be on his feet for too long of a time and we are so appreciative of your understanding.
If you would like to come in to long arm your own quilt let us know and we can schedule you in. We are taking appointments for February 1st forward. Give us a call at 250-376-7630

In the meantime Lori Dewart is still quilting people's quilts so please keep bringing them in to be quilted.
We have a fast turnaround with loads of gorgeous edge to edge designs to choose from.

Thank you so much to everyone for their patience and understanding as we muddle our way through this situation.

Donna Youds #1

donna-youds-big-quilt

Donna Youds was in to long arm quilt her Bohemian Floral Quilt. Donna chose to use the computer for perfect results and says that she will always choose computer from here on.

The computer gives you hundreds of options of patterns and perfect designs every single time! On this quilt Donna chose a raindrops edge to edge design and it turned out fantastic! Love it!

Thank you to Donna for spending the day with us and sharing your creativity with everyone!

Donna Youds #2

donna-youds-smaller-quilt

Donna Youds had enough time to not only quilt her queen size quilt shown above, but this little lap quilt as well! Pretty darn cool when you can get two quilt quilted in one day and be home for supper!

Again, Donna chose to use the computer program with the Raindrops edge to edge design. Isn't this just the most cheerful quilt and love those intense colours! A mix of batik and regular cottons was used.

Thank you to Donna for one of the most fun days we have had! You are a real gem to have in the shop!

Economy Block

economy-block

What a great block to use up some of your scrap stash! I have loads of children's fabric in my bin of scraps and I just know this would work really well!

I would be tempted to cut my block for the outside triangles larger. That is the green fabric. I can then trim it down to be exact. As long as you have 1/4" from the point of the blue triangles to the edge you are good to go.

If you do it with their exact measurements make sure to use your Mary Ellen Best Press as it will keep everything from stretching. I am a big fan of the Mary Ellen!

Easy Peasy 3 yard Quilt Booklet

3-yard-quilts

These books are so popular! Why? Because we all have 3 fabrics of 1 yard each that will work together!

Find 3 different 1 yard fabrics and make yourself a great little lap quilt. Want it to be a twin, Queen or King? Just make 2, 3 or 4 of the lap size! How easy is that?

You can find the books in our shop or on line at http://www.fabricshelf.ca

Deb Lebsack

deb-lebsack

Deb Lebsack was in to long arm quilt this gorgeous little lap quilt. I believe this one is a Disappearing Nine Patch pattern. I could be wrong so if Deb or any of our readers has the name of the pattern that would be great!

Deb chose to use the computer for those perfect results every time as well using the Glide thread.

If you would like to quilt your own quilt give us a call and we will book you in.

If you would rather have us quilt your project [ also known as quilt by credit card ] bring your quilt in and we will get you all signed up!
