Hero of the Week!!
Another repeat Hero this week!
Betty Oswell is the Hero again for us! She has had my back for a long time now and I can't imagine life without her. There have been tears. giggles, birthday cakes and lots of hugs. My best friend Betty encompasses all that it means to be a friend.
Take a peek at this incredible quilt she made for the shop. "Holy Snowballs" is 92" x 92" and showcases the gorgeous Kaffe Fassett fabrics! Absolutely stunning! Betty, you are amazing!

Trunk Show Feb. 7th
Kim Aydon will be here with her trunk show of bags, machine embroidery and quilts on February 7th at 6 pm.
Kim is looking to teach some of her projects so stay tuned for dates. We will have sign up forms the evening of the 7th.
Of course this is opportunity for a party so there will be snacks and a giveaway!

Shirley Hukaluk
Shirley Hukaluk was at it again.....this (left) is just one of her gorgeous quilts she came in to long arm using our Millie APQS machine!
Shirley is like a machine. She only started to quilt in the last couple of years and has come so far in skill and confidence!
And here she is with Quilt #2!
Shirley loves the bright colours and her quilts are always just a joy to see! She definitely has an ability with colours!

9th Annual North Shore Quilt Show
We have a change in the dates for the 9th Annual Quilt Show.
Due to unforeseen glitch at the Seniors Center we are moving the show from April 21/22 to April 28/29th.
This quilt show is all about you! Think of it as a giant Show and Tell with lots of inspiration for everyone! No entry fee, no judging .....just fun!
We will start to accept quilts in the middle of April. We will also be looking for volunteers to help out at the show so stay tuned for details.

Transfer Eze is a paper product which is the best thing since sliced bread for all you embroiderers. Print from your computer or draw your own design and peel the paper off. It then will stick on top of your fabric to be stitched. Stitch by hand or machine. Tear off any excess or spritz with water and ..... poof!....it is gone! Robyn Kingsley of Bird Brain Designs uses this product almost exclusively and loves it! Packages of 10 sheets.

Attic Windows
"Attic Windows" is a class coming February 12th. we have so many requests for this one, we decided to hold it again. Made using a panel or large print this quilt will give the illusion of looking out a window.
Class is taught by Elly Pitre from 10am to 4pm as a one day class. Cost of $35 plus supplies.

Donna Biggar and Darlene Hegyi
Mom and Daughter team, Donna Biggar and Darlene Hegyi, were in on Thursday to become certified to use the long arm machine! Working together they were able to get this gorgeous lap quilt done in 2 hours! Using Glide thread makes the work so easy.....no thread breaks, great tension and beautiful finish!
