Bill's July Road Trip

Today is the day we get Bill on the road over to Vancouver Island for APQS repairs and maintenance. He should be out of town by noon. Note word "should".
Bill, fully certified APQS technician, is coming over to set one machine up, and do services for anyone in need with APQS machines. The cost of the service is $200 with everyone sharing the mileage, which will be $150. He is also available to bring fabric, kits or notion orders over. Just call your order in or email us and pay with your cc and he will bring it over....no shipping charge for that!
It is very helpful to have a name and address, phone # and email so he knows ahead of time and I can get him organized. Note how I worded that.
The trip after that will be Merritt at the end of July and then the Fraser Valley. He is going to be pretty darn busy!
Contact the shop at 250-376 or email me at info@fabricshelf.ca

Catherine Lukow

Catherine/Joan Lukow brought in her gorgeous Double Pinwheel quilt for us to long arm for her. Her choice in colours and balance of the tones is absolutely spot on! Catherine paid careful attention to spinning her centers of the pinwheels to reduce the bulk. Made Leslie Ford, the long arm quilter on this one, so very happy!
The quilt was quilted using the digital design called Alfresco with swirling leaves and blossoms. Top thread chosen is Glide Pink Lemonade.
Thank you to Catherine/Joan for sharing with us all!
** Catherine is her name but she also goes by the name Joan....ergo the ? between the names. Try both names and see which one she answers to!***

Verna Miller

This is Verna Miller's masterpiece Celebration Tree Skirt by Quiltworx. Not a weekend project, Verna worked hard on this one and her unique choice of colours makes this quilt truly amazing! Now guess what she has to do? She has to cut it to fit the tree in and then the binding. Gird yourself Verna, this is going to be hard to cut!
Verna took a class with Anne Hall, attended several retreats with Anne to get help if needed and the end result is gorgeous!
Lori Dewart did the long arm quilting and just nailed it! She long armed it on her own machine at home, probably in her pj's!
Thank you to the whole team....Verna for the piecing, Anne Hall for the teaching and Lori for the fabulous finish!
