Lisa Iverson

Lisa Iverson brought her super cute baby quilt in for us to longarm quilt for her. Starting with a panel Lisa brought it out to a useable size with the perfect colour choices.

Edge to edge digital design is Seamless with Glide Magic Mint for the top thread. Leslie Ford is the longarmer on this gorgeous little quilt.

Doreen Frederick

Doreen Frederick brought a very special quilt in for us to longarm quilt for her. this one she calls Metis wedding quilt. Done all in rich Kaffe Fassett fabrics it is a stunning work of art! Using Snails Trail and Storm at Sea blocks she created a beautiful heirloom quilt that will be much loved for many years to come.

The edge to edge digital design is called Windswept with Glide Apricot Blush for the top thread.Leslie Ford was the longarmer on this one and knocked it out of the park! We are running out of room to photograph the big quilts so my apologies for not being able to see it closer up.

Tanya Knippelberg

Tanya Knippelberg came in to longarm quilt her beautiful controlled scrappy look quilt.Name of the quilt is Spring in my Step with a great mix of fabrics. Her balance of tones of colours is perfect!

She used the edge to edge digital design called Windswept with the top thread Glide Magic Mint. Bill was the helper on this one and the results are awesome!

Maggie Pycock

Maggie Pycock was in to longarm quilt her stunning Lonestar quilt. This quilt is Maggie's first time trying a star quilt. She did not paper piece, but used the strata method of piecing. Sew the strips together and then cut on an angle and resew into the diamonds. Sound simple?.....hmmmmm not for the faint of heart. Careful pressing and piecing are crucial, but the results are incredible!

The quilt was longarmed by Maggie with help from Leslie Ford with the quilt done in 2 hours!!! Design chosen is Star Hearts with Glide thread Tabriz Orchid for the top.

A beautiful quilt Maggie and I am so thrilled you are sharing with everyone!

Flying Geese and bulk....they just always seem to be together. I am a bit of a picky piecer in that I absolutely hate having bulk. I came across a great article on making Flying Geese the easy and accurate way....which I have done many times....but this article explains how to reduce the bulk!!!

Take a minute or so to read this article complete with photos and a chart for measurements. This was a game changer for me and I am sure it will be for you too!

Vernon Quilt Show

Quilt show coming to Vernon Sept. 23 and 24th! Oh my word, are we ready for a quilt show!

Sewing Machine Services

Bill is back to heading over to Salmon Arm every week to see his stepmom. He will be bringing your machines over to drop off with Hector and Tammy. Your machine will be returned to you the following week.

If you would like to get your sewing machines all ready for the spring/summer sewing season bring your machines in by end of day on Tuesday.
