Linda Rollins

linda-rollans

Check out this quilt done by Linda Rollins! Linda started with a Renoir panel by Northcott, had a vision of wanting the quilt to look as though you are looking through a doorway and this is what she created! Just amazing!

Linda had it all pieced and decided to come in for a class on our long arm quilting with Bill. The panto she chose is called "Seamless" which is swirls and loops. First time on the machine and she made it look so easy!

Thank you to Linda for sharing with us. We are all very impressed with your project!

Donna Youd

donna-youd-star-explosion

Donna Youd was in to long arm quilt her gorgeous little lap size quilt. This one is all half square triangles and the design is acquired by the placement of the colours. Don't you just love the Explosion of the Star? I think this one would be simple to expand to a queen or even a King size quilt1

Donna is always such a fun person to have in the shop. Lots of smiles, giggles and enthusiasm. Well done on your project Donna and thank you for inspiring us all!

Kathy Mirtle

Kathy Mirtle was in to long arm quilt these two beauties. As you can see in the photo she was up for having some fun while here!

The baby quilt is actually one piece of fabric with borders and has a vintage feel to it. Just lovely and some little one is going to cherish this one forever!

The laddered quilt is done is calm, peaceful tones of greens and browns. Love the feel of this one.

Thank you to Kathy for sharing with us all and having a fun time with us all!

Mia Merrick

mia-merrick-moon-glow

Mia Merrick came in this morning to show us what she and Wayne have been up to. Several years ago Mia was in our BOM program for Moonglow by Jinny Beyer.

This quilt has been many years in the making and I love the story with it. Mia worked on the quilt over several (7+) years and finally got it all pieced together this year. In the meantime she married Wayne and guess who did the quilting? Yep, that would be Wayne. So for me, I call this the Merrick wedding quilt.

So very proud of you Mia for sticking with it and getting it done! Wayne, you are amazing and Mia is so lucky to have found you and snapped you up!

Sue Pare

  sue-pare

Sue Pare pieced this lovely little quilt in a simple but oh so effective pattern layout! I love the theme of the puddle jumpers and frogs. Gum boots and umbrellas are so cute!

Lori Dewart did the quilting using a raindrop panto and it was perfect! Well done ladies!

As always it was a fun day with Sue and Mary Jane in the building! Thank you to Sue for the giggles and laughter!

Mary Jane Reid

mj-reid-trees

Mary Jane Reid made this gorgeous little lap quilt or wall hanging and came in to long arm it. This one was made from a kit and they are sold out! Super popular kit!

The really exciting part of all this is that we did the quilt on our long arm using the computer. Mary Jane was beyond thrilled! So were we!

Thank you to Mary Jane for letting us play with your quilt and having a fun time at the shop with us all!
