Hero of the Week
Chris Yates is our hero of the week this time. She so totally is our hero this one will bring tears to your eyes!
Chris is a breast cancer survivor who is now just brimming with health and well being! We are so thrilled for her!
She stopped in on her way to the airport because she is flying to Florence, Italy to be in the Dragon boat event. Kamloops is sending 24 women on this trip! Isn't that incredible? To say she was excited would be a major understatement...and rightfully so!
Chris, you are an inspiration to us all and we are so happy to say you are part of our quilting family. Congratulations and have a ton of fun!

Kathy Heard
Kathy Heard was in to learn to use our APQS Long arm machine....also known as Millie.
After a morning of instruction and lunch she was off and running! Check out this gorgeous quilt she quilted with Minky on the back!
Using Glide thread and Bumpity pattern she just motored along and had it done super fast. In fact, Bill had to tell her to slow down a couple of times! A girl after my own heart!

Kathleen Alcock
Kathleen Alcock was in to long arm quilt this darling little girl's quilt.
Kathleen is a bit of a fan of free motion quilting, but on this one she decided to use a hearts panto. I think it turned out just lovely.
Starting with a fat quarter bundle and a super cute pattern, she whipped this one up in no time! I particularly liked the border treatment. The blocks of colour are a great way to bring the whole quilt together, as well as bring the center colours to the outside.

Here is the second Quilt done by Kathleen Alcock on the same day as the one above!
This one had a vintage feel to it and I love a vintage look with a little Shabby Chic thrown in! The coral colour is all the rage right now and suits this pattern perfectly!

Diana Hewins
Diana Hewins was in this week to quilt this stunning lap quilt.
This one surprised us all with the subtle tones of greys, taupes and creams. Diana usually goes for the bright Kaffe Fassett so this took us all aback a bit.
Diana is pretty proficient on the long arm so really gets the job done quickly and with excellent results! I think she could probably teach me a thing or two!

Row by Row 2018
Row by Row 2018 has begun and we are ready!
The theme this year is Sew Musical and we have come up with a tune I am sure we have all sung at one time or another....not happily but still.....LOL

Coral was instrumental in bringing these bolts in and I love the colour wave she chose. Think pillowcases, quilts or placemats. Even pajama pants would be super cute for your favorite gamer!

Just in the shop! Rodeo Round up for all those horse crazy people out there! This is a great themed fabric to suit all ages!
A free pattern is available using the panel. We have the panel, the red ropes, blue with cowboy boots and the black with cowboy hats. You could use blenders or fabrics from your stash to finish it off. If you have a stash....LOL
