Quilts in the Village (Salmon Arm)

Quilt Show is coming Saturday July 13th in Haney Park in Salmon Arm.
We will be there! I love doing quilt shows with all the visiting and just a great change of pace.

751 Highway 97B Salmon Arm
Drive over to Salmon Arm, up the hill and turn at Hwy 97B. It is on your right. Not too far.
The show is one day only and runs from 10 am to 4 pm.
Outdoor show so be prepared for hot weather! We will be under a tent and having a wonderful time!

Becky Geeson brought her awesome Bright Star quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. Becky did a great job of placement of the colours throughout the quilt.
The quilt was quilted with a E2E design called Dave's Dinosaurs and Glide thread Key Lime for the top.

Drina Latrace

Drina Latrace brought her jaw dropping Exploding Hearts quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. Drina worked incredibly hard on this one to turn out such a spectacular project. Julie Biller was a huge help to Drina as she has made a few of them. Love to hear of quilters networking!
The quilt was long arm quilted using the E2E design PS I Love you with her own thread. A beautiful quilt Drina! You should be very proud!

Annemarie Fraser

Annemarie Fraser was in yesterday to long arm quilt his monster of a quilt! Measuring at 118" square this is a gorgeous quilt but way too big too tackle under her at home domestic machine.
Starting with a panel and building it out from there, this is all light and pretty for the summer.
Bill was the helper on the quilt using an E2E design called Butterfly Waltz. The top thread is Glide Mint Julep, one of her favourite colours.

Monday Morning with Paulette

Every 2nd Monday morning, Paulettle Eccleston will be showing one of her scrap quilts with instructions for how to put the block together!!!
Tips and tricks, inspiration, trips down memory lane and of course there are bound to be some giggles in there.
The response to her first quilt was fantastic and so much appreciated.
The patterns will be free but cannot for the life of me, figure out how to attach to the video.

These machines are purchased by us for use in the shop. We are able to sell them to you at a great price with full warranty.
We have a Millie and a Lucey currently available. These come with or without the computer.
My opinion is that you want the computer. It is such a time saver and enables you to have a very professional finish!
The Millie is on a 12' frame and the Lucey is on a 10' frame.

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Rick Walker of Wicked Edge
Rick will be coming in the second Wednesday of each month to sharpen your scissors and knives.
Have your items in to the shop by end of business on July 10th for them to be sharpened on the 11th.
Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.
You can phone me at 250-376-7630 or email me as well to let me know how many scissors/knives are coming.
Cost is $10 a pair scissors

Sewing Machine Repair
|

Hector and Tammy will not be doing sewing machine repairs for the next two weeks due to the School machines needing servicing during the summer break.
Everything will resume back to the usual July 24th. Have your machines in by noon on July 23rd to get them back within a day or two.
