On the Road Again!

on the road again ‌

Bill is heading north at the end of June for servicing APQS machines.
The plan is for him to leave on the 24th of June and be back home around the 5th of July.
I will be in need of some of his cooking by then. LOL

The cost of the service is $200 with the mileage shared between everyone.
Therefore I am going to need to know who would like to have Bill for servicing.
Did that sound wrong? You know what I mean. LOL

He will also be able to bring any orders that you make to the shop as well.
I will be in contact with you as we get closer to the time.

If you can email me at info@fabricshelf.ca
That would be super and I can get a list going

‌

The search is on!

blue-fabric-search ‌

Rita Churchill is making a wedding star quilt and needs your help. She has run out of this blue fabric. It was a basic from one of the main fabrics suppliers years ago and is hoping you can help her out.

If you have any at all in your stash and would be willing to share give her a call at 250-431-8370 or you can email her at ritachurchill74@gmail.com

Drina Latrace

drina-latrace-woodland-friends ‌

Drina Latrace brought her amazing quilt she created for a great great nephew . This one was supposed to have appliqued animal faces on the top and bottom borders but that somehow didn't happen. Drina is a pretty determined quilter and nothing stops her. She found fabric to work just as well and created this incredible quilt. And then discovered where the appliques were....LOL

Leslie Ford did the long arm quilting on this one using the edge to edge design Baby Woodland Critters with top thread Glide Fern.

Drina, you are amazing...nothing stops you and rarely even stalls you. Well done!

Betty Arkinstall

betty-arkinstall-labryinth ‌

Betty Ann Arkinstall brought her fabulous Labyrinth quilt done in aqua and black in to be long arm quilted for a grandson who is graduating. Once we sorted out which side is actually the top everything went great! LOL

Leslie Ford did the longarming on this one using the edge to edge design Bora Bora and Glide thread Ocean for a spectacular finish!

Thank you so much for sharing Betty Ann!

Elsie Komori

elsie-kormori-patchwork-quilt ‌

Elsie Komori pieced this gorgeous patchwork quilt for her son using fabrics she already had in the stash. Using white as her off set blocks really made everything pop up! Her pieced was wonderful and so easy to work with.

The binding she asked for us to put on. I sewed it to the front of the quilt, pressed it to the back and then used Roxannes glue baste to hold it in place for her to handstitch to the back. If you have never tried this method give it a try. You just use little drops of the glue to hold the binding down and you and off and going. No clips or pins, just easy stitching.
We have the Roxanne's glue available in the shop but cannot sell online due to Canada Post restrictions.

Elsie's quilt was long armed by Leslie Ford using the edge to edge design called Modernish and Glide Affinity Mediterranean (variegated) thread for the top.

Thank you to Elsie for sharing with us all!
