On the Road Again

Bill is heading north at the end of June for servicing APQS machines. The plan is for him to leave on the 25th of June and be back home around the 5th of July. I will be in need of some of his cooking by then. LOL
I am trying to get him out of here on Saturday but it looks like it may be Sunday. I have given him the list of names so he can contact you while on the road. His first stop is Quesnel and furthest is Prince Rupert. He still has time to see a few more so let us know.
The cost of the service is $200 with the mileage shared between everyone. Therefore I am going to need to know who would like to have Bill for servicing. Did that sound wrong? You know what I mean. LOL
He will also be able to bring any orders that you make to the shop as well. I will be in contact with you as we get closer to the time.
If you can email me at info@fabricshelf.ca That would be super and I can get a list going.

Donna Fluery

How is this for a beautiful quilt? Donna Fluery made this one as a challenge for the Sagebrush Quilt Guild. Everyone exchanged scraps and let's see what they all came up with!
Donna's is an old time pattern but with newer brighter colours to just oomph it up a bit. What a lovely cozy lap quilt!
The top thread is a super vibrant pink Glide thread called Hope. Edge to edge digital design chosen is Busy Bees. Leslie Ford got her started and then Bill showed up and helped Donna as well.
Thank you so much, Donna for sharing with everyone! Sagebrush quilters! Wonderful idea to get everybody working together on a great project!

Kathy Mirtle brought her beautiful puzzle quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. The project was organized by Neila McKee and Betty Spence for the River Valley Quilt Guild with everyone making one block at a time. This is just a gorgeous quilt with a lovely blend of fabrics and tones.
Quilt was long arm quilted by Leslie Ford using digital edge to edge design Spring Petals and Glide thread Magic Mint.
Thank you so much, Kathy for sharing! Also thank you to the River Valley Guild and Neila and Betty for designing such a great project to bring quilters together!

Evah Blinkhorn

Take a look at this incredible quilt that Evah Blinkhorn created! Called "Grandma's Quilt" this one stopped us in our tracks! The amount of piecing and the precision is just amazing! I love the warm tones with a bit of modern look but still traditional.
Quilt finished at 87" x 87" with a beautiful Flying Geese border. Leslie Ford is the long arm quilter on this one with the edge to edge digital design Belladonna being used and Glide thread Warm Grey 4 for the top.
Thank you to Evah for sharing with us all! You are an amazing quilter!

Pat Howe

Pat Howe brought her darling baby quilt in to be long armed. This one is a memory quilt with the cutest little items on the quilt. T-shirts, bibs, hats and more. Pat did a wonderful job of creating this gorgeous memory quilt for a young mom. The quilt finished at 71" x 71" with all sorts of fabrics in it....flannels, cottons and knits. Bill is our go to fellow for this type of quilt and he did stellar!
The design chosen to quilt is Bumpity as it would not take away from the quilt and also be a bit easier to work around buttons, ribbons, collars and snaps. Top thread is Glide Pale Mist.
Thank you to Pat for sharing this with us all! You did amazing!

Bill's July Road Trip

I have Bill scheduled to head over to the Island on the 13th of July. I do not have firm dates yet but will post as soon as I have something definite.
Bill, fully certified APQS technician, is coming over to set one machine up, and do services for anyone in need with APQS machines. The cost of the service is $200 with everyone sharing the mileage. He is also available to bring fabric, kits or notion orders over. Just call your order or email us and pay with your cc and he will bring it over....no shipping charge for that!
It is very helpful to have a name and address, phone # and email so he knows ahead of time and I can get him organized. Note how I worded that.
The trip after that will be the Fraser Valley. He is going to be pretty darn busy!
Contact the shop at 250-376-7630 or email me at info@fabricshelf.ca

There are no machine services by Hector until the end of July. Bill is out of town servicing on APQS going north, and Hector is tied up with other commitments.
Baby your machines along, make sure you clean them out and put new needles in. We will start to take names later in July for services on your domestic machines.
