Hero of the Week
Our Hero of the Week this time is Joanne Hall!
Joanne has been knitting, crocheting and sewing these quilts for years to donate to our Hospital.
This time she decided to give to the residents of Grand Forks. The flooding in that community has been devastating with people losing their homes.
Thank you so much Joanne for reaching out and sharing your talents with so many people in need of comfort.
Quilts can be dropped off at the shop and we will send them on their way to the quilt shop in Grand Forks.

Judy Service
Judy Service was in Thursday morning to drop off more quilts for Grand Forks flood victims.
Judy is a bit of a cohort of mine in the whole community sharing of quilts program. We have teamed up a few times to give to wildfire victims and I have to say, Judy is one of the easiest people to work with.
She truly cares about others and will do whatever is needed to help.
Thank you Judy for everything!

Amrit Ollek
Amrit Ollek was in to learn to use our long arm quilting machine this last week.
Referred to us by her good friend Kathleen Alcock, Amrit spent the day with us and finished with this lovely quilt she made for her daughter.
Kaffe Fassett is the fabrics she chose and the pattern lent itself well to the bold fabrics.
Thank you Amrit for sharing the day with us and a big thank you out to Kathleen Alcock for the referral!

The Great Purge Sale!
The Great Purge Sale is going on right now!
We need to make some room on the shelves for new fabric so we have collected bolts of 3 meters or less and put them on at 30% off! You must buy the whole bolt for this great price. We also have kits out with more items being added every day!
Coral, also known as our computer entry girl extraordinaire, has been hard at work getting it all up on the web. When you go to the web site click on "Shop" and then "Great Purge Sale" and you are ready to go!
The price you see is the sale price for the entire piece with the meters marked. Hope that makes sense....you just have to think like me....LOL
Come on in to the shop or check them out on line at : http://www.fabricshelf.ca

Robyn Sheils
Robyn Sheils was in to long arm this beauty of a quilt last week! Robyn is getting so comfortable on the Millie we just help her to load and leave her to it! I loved the way the black, grey and whites all worked together on this one. I you look closely at the pattern it is almost as though the chains weave under and over....which I really like! Thank you Robyn for sharing the day with us....actually it was only a couple of hours.....LOL
