Batting Sale - Last 2 weeks!
Hobbs 80/20 rolls at 27.4 meters x 96" wide per roll. Price is $249.99 per roll plus tax. You can put half down [$125.00] now and the rest due by the 15th of March.
Bill will be going to pick up the batting at the end of March/beginning of April depending on road conditions. You will need to pick up at the shop but we can hold for a reasonable amount of time. Just let us know.
Anyone wanting to share a roll please let us know and we can put you on the list. You can cut the batting at our shop,by appointment, or at your own space.

Brenda Bliss
Brenda Bliss long arm quilted her gorgeous flannel quilt using Laurel Burch "Wild Ones" line. she bought the fabrics a few months ago and then it was home to pet them and try and figure out what she wanted to do with them.
I would have to say she sure came up with a great plan! The colours are so vibrant and the prints so unique the quilt is amazing!
Brenda was in to long arm quilt it in our shop using our APQS Millie machine with Glide thread. The quilt was done quickly and beautifully!

Hector and Tammy are coming!
Hector and Tammy Symes of Symes mobile machine services will be here on Thursday, 14th of March. We just love these two! So much fun!
If you want your machine serviced or scissors sharpened give us a call at 250-376-7630 or drop off at the shop. They well service Mechanical, Computerized and Embroidery machines as well as sergers. If you have one of the super huge embroidery machines please phone the shop first.

Pat Howe
Pat Howe was in to learn to use the long arm machine this week. Pat had her course with Bill and finished her gorgeous quilt the same day!
You just have to love being able to get that quilt on the frame and off quickly to take home and bind!

Mary Jane Reid
Mary Jane was in to quilt her beautiful baby quilt yesterday. She is expecting a new grandchild at the end of the month so this is very exciting!
Mary Jane does not know if it will be a girl or a boy, so having done a boy quilt already it was time to get the girl quilt done. This project has a ton of Y seams in it, which are not Mary Jane's favourite thing to do. She stuck with it and got it done and the quilt is just awesome!

Fire Island Hosta Class
We have had so many requests for this class we have decided to host this class in August of 2019.
The class is over 5 days from August 10 -14th. Teacher is our very own Anne Hall who comes with a wealth of knowledge in paper piecing.
You have a choice of either a 74" x 74" or a queen size 100" x 100". We will be kitting both sizes in the colours shown. Price to follow when we have firm numbers.
Cost of the class is $375 for all 5 days plus supplies.

Lynn Friesen
Lynn Friesen was in this week to show us her amazing quilt she made for her granddaughter! What an absolute heirloom that little girl is going to treasure forever!
The story just warms the heart and reminds us all of why we take perfectly lovely fabric, cut it all up and sew it back together and then gift it to people! Check out the front as well as the back on this one!

Quilt Show April 27/28th, 2019
Just getting the word out early for everyone. We are having our quilt show this year April 27/28th.
As always the quilt show will be right here in the Brock Shopping Center, in Kamloops, BC.
Our quilt show costs nothing to enter a quilt and everyone is welcome. If you can let us know how big your quilt is that is helpful for arrangement of the quilt racks.
We would love to see what you have been working on currently or in the past.The quilts shown are modern, antique, traditional and can be bed quilts, bags, clothing, runners and placemats or anything else that you have made from fabrics.
Entry to see the show is by donation to offset the costs and proceeds go to charity. I am cracking my whip, ladies, so you can get your quilts in!

Big Diamond
I just may be moving closer to the modern look in quilting! Not sure so don't want to commit but I do love this one. In my stash there lives several of the gorgeous large vibrant prints looking for a home. This may just fit the bill!
Take your color mixing cues from the master, Kaffe Fassett, himself in this eye-catching, exciting quilt. Simple triangles are sewn together in pairs, so construction is easy, but take care not to stretch bias edges.
