The Woes were almost cured!

Well as per usual the links worked perfectly during the week but then today when I try to insert them it just doesn't cooperate.
I did however, manage to get 2...count them 2! links to work further down in the newsletter. You will love my links.

Cathy Wilcox brought her delightful little baby quilt in for us to longarm for her. The soft yellows, blues, greys and ivories are so pretty!
Lately we are noticing a lot of interest in neutrals as well as the pastels.
Definitely for babies the softer tones are very popular.
Longarmer on this one is Leslie Ford with the digital design Starlet with swirling stars all over for a whimsical look. the top thread is Glide Latte.

Miriam Cavani brought her gorgeous One Block Wonder quilt in for us to quilt for her. This was Miriam's first time trying a One Block Wonder and she is thrilled with the result!
The digital design she chose is called Butterfly Waltz with top thread Glide Linen. The longarm quilter on this one was Leslie Ford.

Mona Hall came in for a class on how to longarm her quilt. This is her very first quilt and wow! Did she ever do an amazing job of it! Everything is well balanced and her piecing is perfect! A bit of a keener I am thinking! LOL
Bill took her through all the options and she chose to use a digital design called Mozart with swirling instruments and Glide thread Apricot Blush for the top thread. Just a gorgeous quilt Mona!

Denise Slevin brought her amazing Halloween Spiderweb quilt in for us to longarm for her. The lovely twin size quilt is going to be a family favourite for sure!
Leslie Ford did the longarm quilting using the digital pattern called Spiderweb with Spiders. Is that not the most perfect quilt design to put on this quilt? Glide thread Black is the the top thread.

A timeless beauty of a quilt to be treasured for years to come.....or until she makes another quilt she likes even more and redoes the bedroom again. LOL

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Wicked Edge
We have discovered a fellow in town, Rick Walker, a fully certified, scissor sharpener who will come and sharpen your scissors here at the shop.
Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.
You can phone me at 250-376-7630 or email me as well to let me know how many scissors are coming.
Cost is $10 a pair.
Just a side note from us: He sharpened our batting scissors and did amazing! They are like brand new scissors!

Sewing Machine Repair

Tammy and Hector Symes are back servicing in machines. Have your machines here by end of day each Tuesday for fast turnaround and excellent service on your machine!
Bill will bring your machine over to Salmon Arm at no additional cost as he is over every week to see his step mom who is in care.
If the stars align you would get your machine back the next day, or at the latest the following week.
Once we start to get enough machines in, Hector and Tammy will come to Kamloops to do the machine servicing on site that day! Wouldn't that be fantastic?
