Michelle Allen brought her awesome quilt in for us to longarm quilt for her. This one is an Elizabeth Hartmann pattern called Lenny Lemur. Michelle had help from Coral on the choice of colours for each Lemur. Well done ladies!
Leslie Ford is the longarmer on this one with an edge to edge digital design called Mod Dotz by Urban Elements. Glide thread Apricot Blush is the thread of choice and is perfect! Teal coloured Minky on the back for that super soft cozy finish!
Thank you to Michelle for letting us get inspired from all your talents.

Pat Muldoe

Pat Muldoe was in to longarm quilt her beautiful Block of the Month project. This one is a queen size at 95" x 95".
Her choice in fabrics is gorgeous with a perfect balance of the lights, mediums and darks. I am partial to sampler quilts as every block is different so there is less of a chance that I will lose my attention and wander off to the next pattern I see.
Edge to edge digital pattern is called Bauhaus and the thread chosen is a Glide thread called Flint. Pat used the computer program on the longarm with help from Bill.
Thank you to Pat for sharing your talents and creativity with us all!

Joanne Bird brought her beautiful scrappy blues quilt in for us to longarm for her. She has lots of Kaffe Fassett fabrics in this one so you can just imagine the variety of the prints and tones!
Pat did an awesome job of colour placement so the end result was a great balance throughout the quilt. Edge to edge design is Bossa Nova with Glide thread Silver. Lori Dewart is the longarmer on this one.
Thank you to Joanne for showing us how truly valuable those pieces of lovely fabrics can be! Beautiful quilt!

Brenda Bliss

Brenda Bliss was in to longarm quilt 2 quilts in one day! Bill was her helper and she finished in plenty of time. first up she did her Winter Stars quilt. Brenda's quilt is the lap size finishing at 46" x 54". This is just so darn cute with snowmen, birdhouses and happy winter colours!
Bill was Brenda's sidekick for the day and they were a great team! With a large choice of digital edge to edge designs to choose from her quilts turned out gorgeous! Check out the next quilt she did the same day! It is a winter frosty day looking quilt all in browns and taupes with touches of silver metallic. She used a Glide thread called Flint on this one.
We have 4 of the Winter Stars quilt left in stock. You can find them in shop and on line at https://www.fabricshelf.ca/shop/Kits/p/WINTER-STARS-2-46x54-x60934242.htm

Joan Lauer
| |
Joan Lauer brought her scrappy bargello quilt in for us to longarm for her. this quilt has a bit of a story to it.
What is really interesting on this quilt is that she found the quilt partially constructed at the Thrift Shop!!!!
She paid $30 and home she went to try to figure out how to assemble the sections. Next she brought it in for the quilting part. We happened to have the perfect backing for the quilt and it was ON SALE!!!!! Can you believe this? The quilt should be called All the Stars Aligned!!!!
Lori Dewart did the quilting and it turned out so well! On bargellos you want a pattern that can lock down as many seams as possible.
Congratulations to Joan for an amazing quilt that will be such a joy to have and look at. A real trip down memory lane looking at the fabrics.

Peggy Mutch
| |
Peggy Mutch was in to learn to use the longarm machine this last week. Peggy was a terrific student with lots of really great questions. She brought this quilt top in to use as her practice piece.
Peggy used the Bumpity edge to edge digital pattern on this one with Glide thread Salmon colour for great results the first time! This turned out so well I am sure Peggy will be back soon with more quilts. We can't wait to see what she does next!
As a side note: Bill is not taking any new students until into June now. He has his new machines coming in, his dad's wake to deal with and some health issues. You can call now or email us at info@fabricshelf.ca if you would like to book a date now before it fills again!
