Shyane Johnson

shyane-johnson

Shyane Johnson was in to pick up er huge [ and I mean huge! ] quilt she made for her granddaughter who is loving purple! I think there is going to be one very happy little girl with this quuilt!

Shyane did a great job of this one with working only in the purple colour family. She chose fabrics that really complimented each other and showed the quilt off beautifully!

Thank  you to Shyane for sharing your quilt with us all!

Jean Cartier

jean-cartier

Jean Cartier was in this week to take the course on the Long Arm quilting. Jean was such a treat to have in for the day as she is so easy going! I wanted to ask her if she had ever been a hippie! lol

Jean had pieced her little lap quilt and chose to use a computer program to quilt it. She was just thrilled with how professional it looks done!!

Thank you Jean for sharing your creativity and your day with us all!

Margaret Dennison

margaret-dennison-2

Margaret Dennison brought her gorgeous wall hanging in for us to quilt! Bill had a ton of fun with this one and it turned out just perfect!

The whale and the black curly waves are appliqued on for dramatic results. Margaret's quilt journey has come so far and we are all excited to see her next one! No pressure Margaret, but now we will all be waiting!!! LOL

Thank you to Margaret for sharing with us!

Remember that you can bring your quilts in for us to quilt. The cost is $.03 cents per square inch. Take the length and x by the width x .03  and you will have the cost of the quilting done by us. We are at a 1 - 2 week turnaround currently.

Myra Hiebert

myra-hiebert

Myra Hiebert was in to long arm quilt her stunning queen size quilt. Myra had chosen her fabrics back when we first had the Tide and Time line come in. That is the focus fabric with the beachy wave look.

She wanted a fresh new look for her bedroom and this was just the ticket! She put quite a bit of time into the planning of the quilt and the results are so worth it!

An amazing quilt, Myra, and thank you so much for spending your day with us and sharing your talents with everyone!

Mary Jane Reid

mary-jane-urban-jungle

Mary Jane Reid was in to long arm quilt her Urban Jungle quilt with Lori Dewarts help. She chose the computer program with the edge to edge design called Athena.

The fabrics are by Jason Yenter of In the Beginning fabrics and as always the colours are just awesome! I just love his fabrics!

A beautiful quilt and it is just gorgeous! Thank you to Mary Jane for sharing your talents with us all!

Jennifer Agar

jennifer-agar-winter

Jennifer Agar was in to pick up her quilt that she had us quilt for her. The woodland scene is beautiful and the quilting by computer just really brought it to life!

Jennifer started with a panel and built it out from there. Panels can be a bit challenging as to what do you do with it other than just add borders? Jennifer really did a awesome job of making this quilt pop out and all the elements blend well.

Thank you to Jennifer for having us be a part of your quilt story and to Lori Dewart for the fabulous quilting on the quilt!

Yes we are going to Alaska in 2022 on a quilting cruise. How exciting is that? Anne Hall and I are hosting this fabulous trip and garauntee some good times, quilting, good food and spectacular scenery!

This is of course all dependant on the Covid situation, as we take your safety is of first concern for us. All precautions will be taken to have fun, enjoyable but safe vacation. We have a limit of 20 students in order to keep distances.Only 4 spots left so give a call soon!!!

The project offered is gorgeous! Called "Mermaids Tale" you can make this one as a 68" x 68" or extend it to a 99" x 99" queen quilt. You also have the option of doing the Poinsettia project which you will probably be able to finish the top on the cruise! That would be cool! Next you also can choose to do a UFO! You will need it to be a Quiltworx or Be Colourful project, and Anne will help you get through the project!

This all sure makes it sound pretty darn exciting! You can find all the details at Anne Hall's website : http://www.sewpeaceful.com

Color Spoken Here

aaa

From Free Spirit Fabrics comes this gorgeous Dresden Plate quilt. Lots of negative space for quilting, bright pops of colours in the wedges!

The Dresden Plate is one of my favourite blocks and so easy to do once you learn the method. You can choose to hand applique it down or machine stitch it in place with decorative stitching. I have done both and would be hard pressed to choose which one I like the best.
