The quilt is going to a wildfire fellow who works in the fire suppression field. I think he is going to be beyond thrilled with this gift from the heart!
Bill and Leslie worked together on this one using the edge to edge design called Rip Curl. The thread chosen was the Glide Anchor for perfect results.

Catherine Lukow

Catherine Lukow brought her Half Square Triangle quilt in for us to longarm quilt for her. This was her first try at doing the half square triangles and she did a awesome job of it!
Catherine brought it in to show me as a flimsy at which point I showed her how to spin the centers so no bulk. Catherine promptly said she would take it home and do every single intersection!!!! Good lord she is a keener! She brought it back all nice and flat and even. I love an eager student who just soaks up anything you can pass on to her.
The name of the pattern is called Postcards from Sweden. Lori Dewart did the longarming using an edge to edge digital design Soundwave with Glide thread Anchor. Lori is very good at knowing what pattern will look good on the quilt and sure nailed it on this one!
Thank you to Catherine for sharing your quilt journey with us all!

Betsy Hartwick brought her incredible music quilt in for us to longarm for her. Betsy made the quilt for a grandson who is right into the whole music field. I just know he is going to love this one.
Betsy is an excellent piecer and her quilts are a joy to work on. The quilt is called Musical with an edge to edge digital design Mozart. Using a soft grey Glide thread the results are stunning!
Not only that but she pieced the backing so the quilt is reversible! Another keener who likes to keep us on our toes. Longarming done by Leslie with help from Bill.
Thank you to Betsy for showing us a different take on a great quilt!

Wildfire free pattern
| |
Is this not a stunning lap quilt? While sadly we do not have this particular fabric, we have loads of equally stunning fabrics that would work beautifully!
In the pattern the blocks are cut from a panel, but you could choose to use just a lovely print and fussy cut it. Rated for a confident beginner ( you need to know how to thread your machine ) this one is a quick one for all levels of skill to make in a short time. Finishes at 53" x 73".
