Roxy Agar
Roxy Agar brought her awesome little houses quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. The quilt is quite scrappy and is fun to just look at all the fabrics that she chose to use in the quilt. An interesting side note: When Roxy mentioned to Leslie, the long arm magician, that one of the house fabrics is chicken fabric, Leslie knew just the perfect E2E design to use! The E2E design chosen is Chicken Wire 1 with top thread Glide Nickle for a great finish!
The recipient of the quilt has chickens and is going to just love this quilt! Just fantastic Roxy!

Linda Chomiak
Linda Chomiak purchased this kit from Katja's a few years ago and has now completed it. The fabrics are Kaffe Fassett and the pattern is Diamonds. Linda paid careful attention to all the bias edges and placement of colours, and the end result is fabulous! Love those rick, vibrant colours!
The quilt was quilted using E2E design Cloud 9 and Glide thread Cool Grey 7 for the top.
What a gorgeous finish, Linda! You must be so thrilled!

Isobel Lamarche
Take a look at this gorgeous quilt made by Isobel Lamarche all in peaceful tones of whites and blues. I am not sure of the name of the quilt, so if Isobel is reading this or any of you know, please pass it on to us. We would love to know and also to look at bringing in the pattern.
I loved the calmness of the creams, greys and blues in this quilt. One of our newer E2E designs called Malachite was used for a great textured look. Thank you to Diane Mousseau for encouraging us to bring that design in. The top thread chosen is Glide Steel Blue. Leslie Ford is the long arm quilter on this one.
Thank you so much, Isobel for sharing with us all!

The edge to edge quilting design used is called "Sleepy Ewes" and just how cute is that? The top thread chosen is Glide Mercury.
Thank you to Leslie Ford for the long arm quilting and Catherine for taking us on your quilt journey!

Impressions - Altered View
New quilt kit by In the Beginning Fabrics is now ready to go! This one was pieced by the talented Marg Kinney who did a fabulous job! The quilt finishes at 75" 103" with quite a bit of fabric left over, so if you wanted to make it larger that is easy to do. The techniques involved are regular piecing as well as paper piecing for the spikes. I would rate this quilt at a confident beginner or intermediate. Kits are available in the shop and online at ...... Hit the Read More Button to see!

Choosing the perfect Backing
Sometimes the backing can be harder to decide on than the front of the quilt! Flannel, fleece or Minky all come with their ups and downs. Have a read of a great article out on the APQS Blog and maybe that will help you. Heather's Fabric Shelf has an ever growing inventory of wide backing in regular cotton, minky, flannel and fireside. Check them all out on website or in shop. http://www.fabricshelf.ca
