On the road Again!

Bill is heading north at the end of June for servicing APQS machines. The plan is for him to leave on the 24th of June and be back home around the 5th of July. I will be in need of some of his cooking by then. LOL
The cost of the service is $200 with the mileage shared between everyone. Therefore I am going to need to know who would like to have Bill for servicing. Did that sound wrong? You know what I mean. LOL
He will also be able to bring any orders that you make to the shop as well. I will be in contact with you as we get closer to the time.
If you can email me at info@fabricshelf.ca That would be super and I can get a list going.

Carol Needoba

Carol Needoba was in to longarm her amazing lap quilt, all in blacks, whites and a pop of red. The pattern is gorgeous with the large blocks enabling those fantastic fabrics to really stand out!
Bill was the helper for Carol and her project. She was so excited to see the quilt come to life at the end.
Design chosen is an edge to edge design called Busy Bees with flowers and bees that were quilted using Glide thread Dijon.
Thank you to Carol for sharing with us all!

Close up of Carol's quilt

I have a photo of a close up of Carol's quilt to show you the dynamic Busy Bees edge to edge digital design. You can see why Carol was so thrilled to the moon for the final look to the quilt.

Shyanne Johnson

Take a look at Shyanne Johnson's incredible quilt she named Indigo Squares. Her balance of colours and placement of the blocks is perfect! Truly a beauty to last for years!
Shyanne's quilt is a big one finishing at 93" x 102". That would be a queen size. Bill is the longarmer on this project using the edge to edge design called Rip Curl for a watery look to enhance the tones even more. Top thread is Glide Oxford.
Thank you to Shyanne for sharing with everyone!

Cary Callander

Cary Callander was in to do some retail therapy in the shop and brought her One Block Wonder project to show us.
Cary had purchased the panels from us a while back and this is what she created! I believe she used 7 panels to create this masterpiece that is going to be on the wall above her bed. The quilt on the bed will coordinate.
Cary did the designing, the piecing and the quilting herself and did a fabulous job of it. A round of applause to Cary for an amazing project!

Jeannie Vanderwal

Take a look at this super fun and oh so lovely quilt that Jeannie Vanderwal brought in for us to quilt for her. Lots of those dramatic yummy Kaffe Fassett fabrics in this one with almost a collage look to it. The name of the quilt is just as yummy.....The Peanut Butter Quilt!
The edge to edge design Jeannie chose is called Butterfly Dance with Glide thread Warm Grey 4 for the top. The Peanut Butter Quilt was longarmed by Leslie Ford.
Well don Jeannie and thank you so much for taking us on your quilt journey!

Catherine (or Joan) Lukow

Catherine's middle name is Joan and apparently she goes by that name most of the time. She gave me the name of Catherine when she went into the computer system so there it is. Sometimes she is Catherine and sometimes she is Joan.
Here we have one of her quilts that she really wasn't loving when she brought it in, but now? Catherine is so excited for the final outcome! Those big flamboyant flowers are really standing at attention now!
The quilt was done by Leslie Ford with the edge to edge design Alfresco and Glide thread Baby Blue for the top.
Thank you to Catherine, AKA Joan for sharing your quilt with us!

Blue Smoke

Another gorgeous pattern we have in the shop is Blue Smoke by It's so Emma patterns. The pattern includes instructions for a lap, twin or Queen size quilt.
Nothing too complicated here. Half square triangles and simple piecing to create this gorgeous quilt. Shown in muted fabrics ....I am thinking the Laundry Basket fabrics would be stellar....but you could also use brights for a great finish.
Find them in the shop or online at https://www.fabricshelf.ca/shop/c/p/BLUE-SMOKE-x68378184.htm
