Store hours change...just a bit

APQS Road show ‌

In preparation for the APQS Roadshow on June the 6th here at the shop we will be closed the morning of the 6th.

The show runs from 9:30am til  12:30pm and after that we are open. We just have no more space! Who would have ever thought this could happen? I remember walking in for the first time and bursting into tears at the sheer size of the building and thinking "How on earth am I going to fill it". Well, apparently that is not a problem.

All the details on the Roadshow can be found on our website under the Events section.

On the road Again!

on the road again ‌

Bill is heading north at the end of June for servicing APQS machines.
The plan is for him to leave on the 24th of June and be back home around the 5th of July.
I will be in need of some of his cooking by then. LOL

The cost of the service is $200 with the mileage shared between everyone.
Therefore I am going to need to know who would like to have Bill for servicing.
Did that sound wrong? You know what I mean. LOL

He will also be able to bring any orders that you make to the shop as well.
I will be in contact with you as we get closer to the time.

If you can email me at info@fabricshelf.ca
That would be super and I can get a list going

Karen Webb

karen-webb-butterfly-quilt ‌

Karen Webb brought her gorgeous spring quilt in for us to long arm. Karen is a traditional quilter, loving the patterns, fabric and colours of a gentler time. Flowers, soft purples, greens and ivories are just some of her favourites.

I am so lucky that I get to see so many different styles of quilts every day, and I have to say that I really don't have a favourite. I love them all! Karen is a very enthusiastic quilter and is so much fun to be around. Her excitement is contagious!

Long arm quilted by Leslie Ford with edge to edge design Bossa Nova and Glide thread Avocado for the top.

Thank you to Karen for sharing with us all!

Pamela Canty

pamela-canty-grandmothers-garden-quilt ‌

Pamela Canty hand pieced this jaw dropping gorgeous quilt with memories of her mom in every stitch. Some of the stitches are so tiny and close together it is amazing!

The edge to edge design chosen is Alfresco with flowers and swirls...so perfect for this Grandmother's Garden quilt! Leslie is the long arm master on this one and did some very clever digitizing to make sure that the hundreds of seams all got locked down. The quilt finished at 90 x 92 for a nice bed size. The top thread chosen is Glide Tabriz Orchid.

Thank you to Pamela for sharing your incredible quilt with us all!

Kathy Mirtle

kathy-mirtle-cats-quilt ‌

Kathy Mirtle brought her gorgeous lap quilt in for us to long arm quilt for her. She had a panel with blocks on it and went from there to add more bolocks in reds, blacks and whites. Fantastic finish!

The name of the quilt is Cat's Puzzle Quilt. Leslie Ford is the long arm quilter on this one using Cat in the Moon edge to edge design and Glide thread Flamingo on the top.

Thank you to Kathy for sharing with us all.
