A very short newsletter this week but I am sure we will be back to regular newsletter next Saturday. We are having some problems with the photos coming up so please bear with us and stay tuned for all the shenanigans going on at the Shelf.
Tanya Knippleberg was in to longarm quilt her charming lap size Heart quilt. The choice of grey for the background was very clever as it makes all the reds and pinks pop, but not as stark as pure white would have been.
Lori Dewart was the helper on this one and she said it is one of the most precise quilts ever! All the seams were lovely and straight, no warbles and threads hanging, just a lovely quilt to work with! I am feeling a bit of pressure!
The pattern is called Cross my Heart with a Glide thread Pink Rose for the top thread. Edge to edge design chosen is P.S. I Love you, one of my all time favourites!

Gretta Popove was in on Friday to say hi and came in her incredible antique car!
We had a good look around the shop at all the changes and then out to see her car.
I love this photo of her and you can feel the pride she has in her car!

Mystery Quilt Retreat

It is getting close to Retreat time here at the Shelf!
Finally....a class! It is a Mini Mystery Quilt class!
It’s “mini” because it’s a no frills, non-residential and during the day, to keep the costs significantly down. But the quilt is in no way mini!
We have managed to secure the lovely big hall right across from Heather's Fabric Shelf, and close to the bakery and Tim Hortons for your catering needs.
The mystery spaces are full but you can still get your name on the wait list.

Just in from In the Beginning fabrics designed by Jason Yenter we have a line called Resplendent.
Okay I have to confess I did get all the colour ways because I just couldn't choose one. If you choose 2 then you might as well get 3 and then you have them all. This is how I explain it to my bookkeeper.
