And Bill Goes on the Road Again

on the road again ‌

Bill is leaving today to head north with a village of women at the shop trying to get him all organized and out of here. He is going up as far as Prince Rupert with a return date of the 16th of May.

Bill will be doing services on APQS machines all the way along so if you are in need of him taking a look at your machine he can still squeeze you in. Give him a shout on his cell 250-318-1499. Cost of service is $200 with everyone sharing the mileage cost.

I really appreciate all of you booking Bill to see you, and then I have the house to myself with no cooking and lots of sewing.

Safety protocols will be in place with masks and distance please.

Diana Hewins

diana-hewins-wonky-blocks ‌

Diana Hewins was in to long arm quilt her awesome Wonky Kaffe block quilt. The fabrics she has used in the blocks is all Kaffe Fassett shot cotton fabric with stripes. Just amazing to see how well this one comes together!

Diana chose to use the computer program and with help from Lori Dewart her project turned out just perfect. I get so envious seeing all the amazing quilts you all bring in and wish I had more time to quilt. On the other hand, I get to fondle copious bolts of fabrics every single day.....and I do!

Thank you to Diana for sharing all your talents and creativity with everyone!

‌

Kari Quintal

kari-quintal-gracie-quilt ‌

Kari Quintal was in to long arm quilt her huge quilt she created for her daughter, Gracie. The line of fabrics she worked from is called Venice by Robert Kaufman and they are so beautiful!

Deep rich colours in blues, pinks, greens and purples created one amazingly gorgeous quilt! Kari kept the pattern simple and let the fabrics do the work. Her piecing, as usual was just perfect to make the quilting so much easier!

Quilting design is called Diana and the thread is a Glide purple. Quilt is backed with Minky for that extra coziness!

Gracie, you are such a lucky girl! Thank you to Kari for sharing with everyone!

‌

Paulette Eccleston

paulette-eccleston-100-blocks ‌

Paulette Eccleston was in to longarm quilt her jaw dropping quilt. This one is called "100 Blocks" and yes there are 100 blocks! I had to count them just to cement the feeling of being a slug....le sigh...

Paulette did a fabulous job on the colours in this one, which as you can imagine can be a real challenge to make it all work together. Not only that Paulette works mostly from her stash! Seriously??? Paulette you are amazing!

Paulette had help from Lori Dewart to use the computer and get this one quilted and ready for binding. She used Glide thread and a fairly open pattern to show the design of the quilt off.

Thank you so much Paulette for inspiring us all and sharing you talents!

‌
‌

Lynda MacKenzie

lynda-mackenzie-fish ‌

Lynda MacKenzie was in to pick up her ocean theme quilt she had us quilt for her! Every block was an ocean or water theme and you should see the shark fabric! It is just the best!

I love the way Lynda always finds a way to make her quilt uniquely hers. In this one she chose to add the fish to the center of the plain blocks. How cool is that?

Lori Dewart did the quilting using a water themed computerized design with a ocean blue Glide thread for the quilting. Results were spectacular!

Thank you to Lynda for sharing your quilt story with everyone!

Remember that you can bring your quilts in for us to quilt. The cost is $.03 cents per square inch. Take the length and x by the width x .03  and you will have the cost of the quilting done by us. We are at a 1 - 2 week turnaround currently.
