Danielle Mader

Danielle Mader was in to longarm quilt her lovely scrap quilt. This particular quilt is a bit different for two reasons . No. 1 She is keeping it!!! Yeah Danielle! You deserve it! No.2 the background is a dark as opposed to the usual light.Using a light in the few of the blocks just adds that much more to the quilt! The dark background really makes those fabrics pop up and say hello!
Unfortunately I have no info on the pattern but I do know the thread used is Apricot Blush. How do I know this? Because she forgot her thread here. So anyone seeing Danielle please remind her that her thread is here. Thanks in advance.
Thank you to Danielle for sharing with us all!

Can you believe she has to cut a hole in the center and down one seam for the tree to go in. Nerves of steel this lady!!

Weekly Quilting Tip
| |
I have found that using pins can be a royal pain sometimes. When joining blocks with no sashing the pins shift and never seem to line up the way I want them to. Here is a great tip to make this so much easier and accurate.
Remember to make sure that the glue is water soluble and if using the Acorn product you will need to put a drop on the fabric and then put a dry iron on to heat set it. Works like a charm. The Roxanne's Glue Baste is just a drop tiny drops on the fabric and put your fabrics together. No heat set needed. We have the Roxanne's glue in the shop and online at https://www.fabricshelf.ca/shop/c/p/ROXANNE-GLUE---2oz-x52772918.htm Acorn glue is on order and expected soon.
Pinning is time consuming and sometimes unreliable. By using water-soluble glue, you can line up your pieces precisely and quickly. When finished, just wash your quilt and the glue will be gone!
