There is no newsletter next Saturday Oct. 21st as Heather is at South Thompson Inn for retreat all week.
I shall get some sewing done, some visiting all the attendees, some snacking like a 5 year old and a  whole lot of time with my best friend and superstar quilter teacher, Anne Hall!

Brenda Bliss

Brenda Bliss was in to long arm quilt her 2 little quilts with help from Bill. One is a delightful little Christmas quilt. The panel with a fun Christmas tree is adorned with birds and festive Christmas decorations.
The baby quilt is so cute! Goofy animals with cheerful faces and clear colours made for a beautiful finish. The quilt is going to a new great grandson this weekend! Thank heavens she has the binding made and can stitch while while they travel to Alberta.

The edge to edge design chosen for the Christmas quilt is Doodle with Glide Warm Grey 4. The design chosen for the baby quilt is Nighty night Stars and Glide thread Cerulean Blue.

Lynda Dingwall

Lynda Dingwell brought her lovely lap quilt in us to long arm quilt for her. I absolutely love the panel and the paddles down the side are  just perfect! Well done Lynda!

The quilt was long armed with an edge to edge design called Cumulus with the appearance of clouds. Thread chosen is Glide Celery. Long arm quilted by Leslie Ford.

Diana Hewins was in to long arm quilt her amazing quilt she made for her granddaughter. Using a jelly roll of bright colours she has created a fun bright happy quilt to be loved for years to come.

The edge to edge deign chosen is called Goldfish and using Glide thread Affinity Aquarium the end result is fantastic! Leslie Ford is the assistant to Diana on the quilt.

Carol Holmes

Carol Holmes was in to take a class with Bill on how to use the long arm machine. She chose to bring in a simple Irish Chain version quilt to learn on. Her quilt was lovely before the quilting but after? It was incredible! She is beyond thrilled!

The edge to edge design chosen is called Bear Paw with Glide thread Lagoon for the top. Congratulations to Carol on your quilt! It looks awesome!

Joanne Rohrmoser brought her amazing scrappy quilt in to be longarmed here. Can you believe all of the fabrics have come from her stash? How does she do it? I get all befuddled trying to make the fabrics all work together, and then I end up back at the store buying more fabric to go with the scraps at home!
The edge to edge design chosen is I Dream of Feathers with Glide thread Prickly Pear on the top for an amazing finish. Leslie Ford is the long arm quilter on this one!

Sharon Gloyn

Sharon Gloyn brought her awesome little quilt in for us to long arm for her. One side of the quilt is an I spy and the other is a racetrack. What little one wouldn't love that?Sharon's creativity is over the top. She constantly amazes me with her ideas of how to get the most from her fabrics.

Top of the quilt is done using the edge to edge design called Seamless and Apricot Blush for the top thread.

RIH Raffle Quilt

The always fabulous group of ladies who make up the RIH Auxillary Quilters is back with their raffle quilts and they are amazing! One is a whole cloth quilt which I am  positively drooling over, and the second prize is a gorgeous quilt that is reminiscent of a maze of pathways. Beautiful blues, beiges and white to create the  serene atmosphere.

Tickets are $5 each and available at the shop. Come on in to purchase your tickets here at the shop!

Scissor Sharpening

Scissor Sharpening by Wicked Edge

Rick is back in a couple of weeks to sharpen your scissors so bring them in and he will get them all shiny and cutting like new!

Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.

Sewing Machine Repair

Machine servicing by Hector and Tammy Symes for a great job and fast turn around.
Bill is over to Salmon Arm each week to see his stepmom and will bring your machines over for Hector to service on the Wednesday.

Have your machines here by the end of business on Tuesday and you have your machine back on Thursday!
