Is this not the most gorgeous purple and blue quilt ever? This one is a big one at 102" x 102" and all in Batiks by Timeless Treasures. Pattern is designed by Wing and a Prayer. We have the sample pieced and quilted so hopefully binding on over the next couple of days. Come on in for  a look!

This quilt is offered as a BOM or purchase it outright.
Full price on the kit is $299.99.
Fabrics and kits available in January of 2021.
If you want to start payments now of $50 a month you will have the kit - or most of it - paid for when it arrives! How cool is that?  Works out to $12 and change per week so very affordable for everyone.

We are participating in this program!

We are helping the NSBIA in this fabulous opportunity to give back to our community.

Heather's Fabric Shelf will be a Drop Off point for gently used purses that you are passing on with some items inside for women in need.

This has been a challenging year for many of us and the need is greater than ever before. In the picture you see Patti up to her knees in purses.....now imagine Patti with purses up to her thighs!

Let's have some fun with this and load those purses with fun items, useful items and de-clutter our closets at the same time!

Sandra Sugden

sandra-sugden-huge-quilt

Sandra Sugden brought her gorgeous king size quilt in for us to quilt. This one was done as a BOM years ago and she finally got it done and ready for the binding.

Lori Dewart did the long arming using an E2E called "Fast Feathers" which she claims is really not all that fast. LOL

I do have Sandra on the hunt for the name of the pattern as I would love to offer this one through the shop. Stay tuned for updates on more information about this awesome quilt.

Cary Callander

cary-callander

Isn't this just a lovely quilt? Cary Callander made this one using 2 1/2" strips and a background and borders. Done like dinner and a fabulous finish.

I love her placement of colours as it really makes me think of flowers and springtime. Her placement was planned but it worked very well. You could choose any bright or soft tones and it would work beautifully.

Thank you to Cary for sharing your creativity with us all!

Brenda Bliss

brenda-bliss-4

Brenda Bliss was in to long arm quilt these 2 beauties. Brenda used a navy Minky on the back for that super soft cuddly feeling.

These quilts are going to granddaughters and I just know they will be thrilled! Brenda opted to have Bill help her to quilt them using our computer program and was able to quilt perfect dragon flies and Baroque Hearts.

Thank you to Brenda for sharing with everyone...including us!

Sheila Gibb

sheila-gibb

Sheila Gibb was in to learn how to use the long arm. She chose to bring seasonal table runners to quilt for the first time.

Sheila was so keen to learn it made the lesson easy! It is so rewarding to see someone learn to use the long arm and have success right off the hop!

Thank you to Sheila for coming in and sharing your talents with us all! I love your energy!

Hospice Raffle Quilt

raffle-quilt

The Cotton Pickers Quilt Guild has once again made and donated a fabulous quilt to be raffled off in support of Hospice House.

We will have tickets available shortly and maybe if we are really lucky they will let us hang it in the shop for a bit.

Stay tuned for information on tickets. Thank you in advance for supporting this very worthwhile cause!

Stephanie Webster

stephanie-webster-2

Stephanie Webster was in to show us her latest quilt. I just love the bright colours and fun cacti in containers. What a great stash buster this one would be!

Pattern is called "Cactus Carnival" by Missouri Star who has a tutorial on line. I just googled Cactus Carnival by Missouri Star and it popped up!

The Saga of Kathy Mirtle and the Christmas Stash

kathy-mirtle-stash

Kathy is slowing down ladies! This cannot be allowed to happen! This is all she has left and I think we all need to be cheering her on...so send me an email and I will print them off and put them into a motivational card for her!

This has been fun seeing what everyone's guesses are and what Kathy has done is even better! You can still send your guesses in even if you have already done so. We aren't really very rigid on rules around here. Worried about picking someone else's date? No problem ....  everyone on that day gets a prize!

Send your encouragements and date choices for when you think she will finish up the Christmas stash to info@fabricshelf.ca
