Liz Brown

Liz Brown designed and pieced this gorgeous quilt using only blue fabrics. As you know that can be more difficult than if you use a varied collection of fabrics. She then brought the quilt top in for us to long arm for her. The most heartwarming part of the whole story? She is donating the quilt!!
Leslie Ford is the long arm artist on this one using edge to edge design called Seamless and Glide thread Marine for a fabulous finish!
Thank you to Liz for sharing and thank you for donating your quilt! You have the biggest heart!

Leah Stubbings

Leah Stubbing, one of the best colour customers ever, brought in her awesome stained glass quilt to be long arm quilted. She used batiks with black solid for her sashings for that extra pizzazz!
Leslie used the edge to edge design Be Mine and Glide thread Affinity Aquarium for the fantastic finish you see.
Thank you Leah for sharing with us all!

Willa Dale

How is this for a wild and whacky quilt? The quilt was made by Willa Dale in a class with Diane Jansen. This one really set me back on my heels, to see such a different look to the quilt, from what I would normally see from Willa. Love the colours and love the patterns. Especially love to see how far out of the box that Willa can be!!
The quilt finishes at 86" x 86". Leslie quilted it using the edge to edge design Bebop and the Glide thread Affinity Rainbow was just perfect!
Thank you Willa for sharing your quilt journey with us all!

Chelsey Cooper

Chelsey Cooper is a newer quilter and comes with all the fun and enthusiasm that new quilters do! She also has the cutest little baby with smiles for everyone!
Her quilt is beautifully pieced with a gorgeous vintage feel to it. Chelsey wants her quilt to be for her little boy, and wants it to be loved and used.
She chose an edge to edge design called Casablanca and Glide thread Warm Grey 6 for a cozy fun finish.
Thank you so much Chelsey for sharing with us all!

Laura Ward

Laura Ward took one look at our sample of Resplendent by In the Beginning Fabrics on display in the shop and knew she wanted to do this one. Using a gorgeous line of autumn fabrics and a template technique Laura created her quilt and brought it in to be quilted.
Leslie quilted Laura's quilt using the same edge to edge design we used called Maple Syrup with Glide thread Honey Gold for a warm rich look to finish it.
Thank you so much Laura for sharing with us!
***we still have Resplendent quilt kits in the shop. One in the autumn tones and others in a blue version and a purple version****

Bev Batch

Bev Batch brought her amazing little flannel wilderness quilt in for us to do the long arming. One of the first things I noticed is the use of the yellow instead of the usual whites an beiges for the background. The creamy yellow seems to be so much warmer and cozier. It fits beautifully with the wilderness theme!
Bev's quilt finishes at 75" x 79" with the edge to edge design called The Woods and Glide thread Buttermilk. I thought the names for the design and the thread were just so appropriate!
Thank you to Bev for sharing with everyone!

Lucienne Weaver

Lucienne Weaver started with a Jelly Roll race pattern and decided to twist and turn things around and look at what she came up with! I loved the separation bars, the movement of the fabrics around the quilt is so interesting and keeps your eye moving to the next row. The theme of the quilt is dinosaurs and will be for her grandson.
Leslie quilted this one with Minky backing and an edge to edge design called Dave's Dinosaurs with Glide thread Royal for the top.
Thank you to Lucienne for sharing with us all your amazing quilt. That is one very lucky little grandson you have!

Christine Burstrom

Christine Burstrom created this amazing Irish Chain quilt using vintage florals in Burgandies and yellows. The Irish Chain pattern is an older design but is truly timeless. You can use so many different fabrics in the quilt, but I think Christine's might be one of my favourites.
The edge to edge design chosen is Fast Feathers and Glide Linen thread for the top. I love the way Christine kept the vintage look from the choice in fabrics, the quilt design to the thread colour. Well done Christine!
Thank you to Christine for sharing with us all!

The edge to edge design chosen is called Shazam with Glide thread Warm Grey 6 for a spectacular finish! Susan was in for the day to long arm quilt the project with help from Bill.

She used the free pattern from Wilmington Fabrics called Paradise Bay. The pattern also starts with a panel and grows from there. I have run some off if any of you are interested. They are here at the shop for pickup. Bill was the helper on the quilt using the edge to edge design called Asian Flow with Glide thread Rock Navy for the top. A fabulous finish for a fabulous quilt!
