Meet Your Neighbour
This week we would like you all to meet Barb Hollingshead.
Barb was born in Toronto and raised in London, Ontario. She attended school there and graduated.
She spent her working life doing office work and with the University Day Care. Her natural way with children was front and center!
When asked what inspired her to become a quilter she said it was attending quilt shows and seeing all the gorgeous work that everyday people were doing that gave her the push to give it a try. She came to one of our quilt shows a few years ago and promptly signed up for a beginner class and there has been no stopping her since.
Her favourite part of quilting is seeing it finished! We hear you Barb! The process of having it all come together is also one of her favourite parts. I have to agree with you there!
Keep on quilting Barb and showing us all your great work!

Wendy White
Wendy White was in to long arm quilt this gorgeous Christmas quilt last week. The pattern is fairly simple but so very effective!
Love the choice in colours and pattern on this one, Wendy! Wendy chose a simple panto and glide thread to make this one go fast and easy!
Thank you, Wendy, for sharing the day with us.

Joan O'Morrow
Joan O'Morrow loves making bags and absolutely nailed it with these two! The larger purple one she made in a class with Kim Aydon. The smaller one with the red cardinals is a Pink Sands Pattern.
I see these projects and I just want to go home and hunker down in the sewing room and create! My staff are violently opposed to that.....unless they too get to go home and sew. LOL
Thank you Joan for giving us some great ideas on bags!

For a great Christmas gift this year, why not make up these fun tablet cases. You could easily personalize them to suit each person!
The picture is showing Star Wars fabric, but think coffee theme, outdoors or just about anything. Take a look in your stash to see if you have any fabric just looking to find a home! These are great stash busters.

Robyn Sheils
Robyn Sheils was in this past week to long arm quilt this beauty of a quilt. This one surprised me because Robyn usually brings in bright quilts often done in Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
The denim blues are just perfect in this quilt. I love it! Thank you again, Robyn, for sharing the day with us.

Log Cabin Birdhouse
Is this not the cutest little wall hanging? If you are thinking it looks a bit like something by Thimbleberries from years gone by, you are absolutely correct!
Lynette Jensen from Thimbleberries designed this great little project and we have managed to snag some for the shop! Pretty darn excited about that.
We do not have yardage....only kits are available...priced at $96.99 including the top, binding and pattern. This project is rated confident beginner and up.

Agnes Olsen
Agnes Olsen was in to long arm quilt her gorgeous scrappy quilt. She did not work from a pattern, just sewed strips together and then turned them to create a design.
I could spend hours just looking at all the fabrics she uses in her projects. Her stash projects are among the most interesting projects we get to see in here.
Agnes....are you getting near the bottom of the stash? thank you for inspiring us all to get that stash used up!
