Nancy Cuthbert.

Nancy Cuthbert was in to quilt her gorgeous lap size quilt. She did a great job on the piecing with every seam matching which makes it so much easier to quilt.
Nancy did the long arm quilting with help from Bill on the computer. The computer offers a huge array of patterns to choose from for that professional finish. Bill is pretty adept on the computer and can have you set up and ready to go in no time. Choosing your thread colour may take a bit longer as that is his favourite thing to do with quilting. The hidden talents that man has I never knew about! LOL
We have very limited spaces available leading up to Christmas so please call and book your time as soon as possible. 250-376-7630

Sue Pare

Sue Pare was in to quilt her simple but very effective quilt. She chose to use more of the masculine palette with greens, reds, browns and greys. Doesn't this one just make you want to curl up on the couch with it and a good book?
One other feature I quite liked is the way the blue and random blocks extend into the border. Sue has this amazing ability to always add the something special to her projects to bring it to the next level. I want to be Sue when I grow up!
Thank you, Sue, for sharing your quilt with everyone!

Danielle Mader

Danielle Mader was also in to quilt her Boxes and Rectangles Modern quilt. Danielle chose for her computer edge to edge design a design called Modern Flowers Meandering. It was absolutely the perfect pattern to use.
The Glide thread chosen is one called Marine for perfect results. We have a large selection of Glide threads with more coming all the time.
If you would like to check out our Glide thread selection why not take a look on the website: https://www.fabricshelf.ca/shop/Glide-Thread.htm

Margo Wikjord

Margo Wikjord brought her beautiful strip quilt in for us to quilt. Lori did the quilting on the quilt using a digital design called "Heather". What a great name for a quilt design! LOL
Thread colour chosen by Margo for this quilt was the Glide thread called Celery. Lori took a quilt that was lovely to start with and raised it up with the perfect quilting. Margo's placement of the tones of green is spot on with lights and darks interspersed throughout.
Well done ladies! Thank you to Margo for letting us be a part of your quilt journey!

Ann Gerrits

Is this not one of the most interesting quilts you have seen? Ann Gerrits created this quilt Called Urbanologie. How you can make all these elements from Deer antlers, birds, pineapple, houses and lord knows what else come together to make such an amazing project boggles my mind. It works incredibly well, with great colours, placement and her stitching is super easy to work with. I would love to make this fun quilt as I think it would hold my attention with every block different but working well together.
The design chosen is called Modernish with Glide thread called Lead Grey.
Can you believe it....it only took her 1.5 hours to get this one done!!! Bill was there to help, but Ann is getting pretty darn good at setting everything up.
Thank you to Ann for showing us an incredible piece of fabric art! We are all pretty darn inspired!

Tricia Mercuri

Tricia Mercuri was in to long arm quilt her golf themed quilt. Tricia has a great sense of humour and I think she could make her millions coming up with the names of quilts. This one she called "Par for the Course". I just thought that was such a clever name for a golf quilt.
Tricia chose the Baptist Fan computerized edge to edge design and a Glide thread called Dijon. The dijon thread colour is a greeny gold and it was perfect for blending in where you want it to and showing where you want it to. Again that would be Bill who helped so much with the colour choice.
Thank you to Tricia for giving a really fun day in the shop! Your sense of humour, smiles and enthusiasm are such a bonus to have for the day!

Lynn Garbay

Lynn Garbay brought her quilt in for us to longarm quilt for her. This is one of the most impressive quilts to come in. I think it is the colours that really do it for me! Her use of rich autumn tones and the star pattern is perfect!
Pattern is called Harvest Spice and the longarm quilting was done by Lori Dewart using an edge to edge design called Plumeria. Very swirly and feathery. Add in the Glide Candy Apple thread and you have a gorgeous quilt!
Thank you to Lynn for sharing with us all your awesome quilt!
