Now I get to let you all know what my staff gets for being so amazing!

I thought long and hard about how to thank them all for the hard work and help they have given me over the last year and a half. Special year that it was.

Couldn't give them each a new car, thought a house that we could all use for retreats would be spectacular but the bookkeeper says I am not here yet. hmmmmmm....so.....

I have given them each a extra day of pay! Money is always a good thing and I am sure they will find something that they can spoil themselves with.

To Coral, Leslie, Bill, Lori and our Saturday helper Andi thank you all so very much. You make my job so much easier and I love you all for it!

Here we go again

Due to rising numbers in the Covid cases in the Interior we have been mandated by the Provincial Government that masks are now mandatory.

Masks must be worn at all times in the shop. The numbers allowed in the shop stay the same ....limit of 10.... and we have the hand sanitizing stations still at the door and at the till.

We ask for everyone to be respectful and considerate towards all small and large businesses out there. Together, with kindness and calmness we will get through this. Thank you.

Verna Miller

Verna Miller was in to long arm quilt this gorgeous vintage Raggedy Ann and Andy quilt. Was very interesting with the orange as opposed to the red.

This quilt is going to make some little one very very happy I am sure. It is so simple to take the blocks and add a small border, quilt and tada! You have a lovely quilt quilt to be cherished by some lucky little one!

Paulette Eccleston

The quilting machine, also known as Paulette Eccleston, was in to long arm quilt this gorgeous lap size modern sampler quilt.

Paulette just excels at colour placement and values. The orange fabric in the quilt is just the perfect touch! As you know I am not really a modern girl, but just watching what Paulette is doing I feel like I could be. When I am 80. LOL

Thank you to Paulette for always inspiring us and showing us a new and different approach to quilting!

Susan Raw.

Susan Raw is the winner of the $50 gift certificate for the month of August! She was some excited let me tell you!

Susan came up from Merritt to pick it up and immediately found treasures to use it on. She brought a couple of friends which made it even more fun!

Every purchase of regular price product gets your name entered for the GC to be drawn at the end of each month. It creates much joy and excitement for everyone!

Changes coming Oct 1st to Longarming

As of October 1st we will have only the Thursday, Friday and Saturdays open for quilting your own quilt.

The Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays are for us quilting customer quilts and quilting store samples.

We hope this will streamline things a bit more and make the staffing easier to work with. Heather's attempt at being Martha Stewart. LOL

Celebration Tree Skirt Class

We have a new class to announce coming this September 18, 19 and 20th. This class is taught by Anne Hall, a CI for Quiltworx so you know that you are getting topnotch instruction and help.

You will have opportunity to custom design your own tree skirt with your colour choices.

You can also opt to make a smaller tree skirt as this one is quilt large, 60". Just let us know what you want and we will do our best to accommodate.

The cost of the class is $295 for all three days and includes the pattern with foundation papers. Times are 9:30 to 5 each day.

UFO Days with Anne Hall

Do you need a UFO day with Anne Hall to work on one of your Quiltworx projects? I have several that live in bins in a closet so I know that would certainly twig my interest.

Anne is offering to help you get through some of those projects you may be stumped on. You can sign up for one day or more. Whichever works the best for you.

Little Sweethearts

Just in the shop on Friday, Little Sweethearts by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts.

We have loads of her blue colour wave fabrics so we decided to change things up a bit with a red version. Dusty rose, creams, soft greens and the yummiest red you can imagine. It is like a chambray soft look. I can't wait to get into this one and yes, some is coming home with me for petting. Sewing it up? No rush.....

Sewing Machine Repair

A little bit of a change to the machine repair schedule.

Bill has rescheduled when he will visit his dad in Salmon Arm to Wednesdays. He will bring your machines out to meet up with Hector in Salmon Arm. there is no added cost for Bill to bring your machines over to Salmon Arm.

Hector then takes the machines back to Kelowna to service and you get your machine back the following Thursday.

***Please note that the price of the servicing is going up by $10 to offset Hector and Tammy's  travel costs up from Kelowna and back. ****
We have openings for machines to be serviced. Don't forget that Hector and Tammy service sergers as well.

If you can drop your machines off by end of day on Tuesday you can be assured your machine will get over to Hector.

Floral Dance

I am just amazed at the look of the wide backs available now. This one is 108" wide and is digitally printed by P&B Textiles.

It is just crazy.....the back of your quilt is going to look as gorgeous as the front! Priced at $32.99 you will need about 2.5 meters for a queen size quilt.

Sweet Bees.

Also in on Friday, we have some of the line Sweet Bees by Clothworks. Notice the word "some". there are another 6 bolts which we are told we are getting. the bigger question is when? Who knows. We have the panel and 4 coordinates, so enough that you can make a very cute little quilt.

The panel is larger at 36" wide and 44" long. Super cute in fun colours and design. You can find it in the shop as you come in the door. It is with all the multitudes of polka dots at the front.
