Looking for Quilt Donations

As many of you know or have heard the fires close to Kamloops have been devestating this summer with many people losing their homes or facing substantial rebuilds.
We are looking for Quilt and or Pillowcase donations to send out.
We are operating as a drop off place from where they will be taken directly to the people impacted.
I would like to thank Lyle from Secwe`pemc Child & Family Services and the United Way for their help in assisting to get the quilts to the people who need them.
A huge thank you to Drina Latrace who single handedly created over 100 pillowcases with her sew group. Drina, you are amazing and I want to thank you for your constant caring for your community!
There are hundreds who lost homes and possessions so there is a great need for quilts and pillowcases. Drop your new quilts and pillowcases off at the shop any time from Monday through Saturday 10 - 5.

Leslie Ford quilted it using the edge to edge design "Modern Twist" and Glide thread Cool Grey 3 for a great finish. Absolutely one of the most amazing quilts we have seen using a solid palette of fabrics!

Search for some Polar Pals

We have a customer who purchased a kit from us a few years ago and is now getting it started. Alas, the second page with the instructions is missing. This is a rag quilt and she is a newer quilter so is in a real pickle. We no longer have the fabrics, the kits or the free pattern. We have searched high and low with no luck.
If anyone out there has the pattern could you please email her? rainbow@bcinternet.net

Cheryl Sebastion

Cheryl Sebastion is a quilter on a mission to clean out some of her sewing room. Like all of us she has multiple pieced but not quilted projects and decided that enough is enough. Get them done!
In she came with 5 small quilts to be quilted. Most were with Laurel Burch fabrics from a few years ago. Leslie Ford is the long arm quilter on all five of the quilts with a basic Meandering pattern on all five. The choice of colours of Glide thread with all brights from greens to golds to purples. This has to be one of the brightest cheeriest quilt groups we have ever had come in!
Thank you to Cheryl for bring us all a smile and to encourage us to all start getting some of those projects done that are lurking in the sewing room.

Margaret Mitchell brought her amazing Guild Challenge Mystery quilt in for us to long arm for her. Using only 3 fabrics, look at the incredible finish she has!
Beautifully pieced and Margaret you look so lovely next to your quilt! Her hubby, Jim and my hubby, Bill were the two fellas behind the scene holding the quilt up. There may have been some shenanigans going on with those 2 in the back!
Leslie Ford, again is the long arm quilter using edge to edge design Breath of the Gods and Glide thread Purple Rose for the top.
Thank you to Margaret for sharing with us all!
