We are closed on Sept. 30th for National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

Take the day to enjoy the diversity that we all are so lucky to have in Canada and to celebrate the beginnings of a more open and honest insight into who we are, where we have been and where we are going.

We would like to thank the local bands for their business at our shop and for educating us on what it means to be First Nations. The culture is fascinating and you should be rightfully so proud.

Silent Lake

Silent Lake by Northcott is moving fast so check it out! Rich Autumn tones in yardage, wideback and panel. We have no kits left sadly.
Panel measures at 30" by WOF.

The panel makes one think of autumn in Ontario with the canoe and leaves changing colour. I have never been to Ontario at this time of year but I have heard it is amazing! On the bucket list.

Janie Hazelwood

Janie Hazelwood brought her gorgeous vintage Winnie the Pooh baby quilt in to be longarm quilted. The theme of the quilt is timeless and is sure to become a family heirloom. Quilt finishes at 40" x 54.5".

Janie chose the pattern Hearts One for the E2E design and Glide thread Pistachio for the top.

Leslie Heppner

Leslie Heppner brought her incredible Tiled Magnolia quilt in for us to long arm for her. The fabrics are from Northcott and are amazing! A fabulous job of piecing and colour choices.

the long arm design chosen is Tropical Deco with Glide thread Light Tan.

Lily Gibson

Take a peek at Lily Gibson's amazing quilt called West Hawk that she pieced. As you may know I tend to be more of a traditional quilter but this one is just gorgeous. I think it is the simplicity of the design and I love the calm colour choices. Also I think the quilting is absolutely spot on!

The quilt was quilted with the E2E design SoundWaves with Glide thread Warm Grey 4. Quilt finished at 60" x 73".

Joanne Leesing

Joanne Leesing with her jaw dropping batik autumn quilt. All in deep rich fall toned batiks this one is a show stopper. The quilt finished at 87" x 88" for a great bed size.

Joanne chose E2e design Bubbles for an all over design that lets the fabric be the star of the show. Thread choice is Glide Butterscotch. How appropriate is that?

Tanya Knippleberg

Tanya Knippleberg has done it again with her Laundry Basket Bargello quilt. Her quilt is stunning in the fabrics from Laundry Basket! Soft denim blue and cream tones is just gorgeous! Quilt finished at 65" x 76".

Tanya chose Modern Curves for the quilting design and Glide Latte for the top thread.

Kelly Waltbauer

Kelly Waltbauer, a newer quilter created this lovely 3 Yard quilt using gorgeous feather fabrics with hints of gold metallic. The 3 Yard quilts work best with light, medium and a dark fabric. Kelly chose perfectly and knocked it out of the park! Well done Kelly!

The quilt was quilted with the fun design Funky Feathers and Glide thread Ginger for the top.

Look at what I found in my scrolling across the net. What an amazing quilt with bold colours and careful placement. Not an overly difficult quilt to make, but you will need to lay it out to maximize the impact.

Yes there are machines out there without a foot pedal.

There are none of the embroidery cards with the machine, but my understanding is you can find them on Amazon and on EBay.

Without the embroidery cards you could use this as your retreat or class machine. Hmmmmmm

Scissor Sharpening

Rick will be coming in the second Wednesday of each month to sharpen your scissors and knives.

Have your items in to the shop by end of business on Oct. 8th for them to be sharpened on the 9th.

Rick comes with 40 years of experience and does a great job! He will even sharpen pinking shears, grooming shears and more.
