Tilda Wallflower
The newest line of Tilda Wallflower is to be shipped to us late in May. We can't put it out on the floor until June so in the meantime we will be busy precutting and getting it all ready for you. We will wear gloves while we vigorously pet it and welcome it to the shop. LOL Wallflower is reminiscent of florals from the 60's and 70's with fabulous designs of the small flowers. One of my favourite things about Tilda is how they seem to tell a story with the colours and imagery. We just had the Sundry Brunch and now we are headed into Peace, Love and all the good vibes! You can preorder on our website. Click on the Read More Button for a direct link.

Judy Service Dragon Star
Check out Judy Service's Quiltworx Dragon Star Quilt! Incredible! Judy paper pieced this project using gorgeous earth toned fabrics. I am not sure if Judy started this quilt with Anne Hall but I do know that Anne has been a very competent enabler on Judy's quilt journey! LOL
Leslie did the long arm quilting on this quilt using the E2E design Espresso and Glide thread Sand Dune.
A truly beautiful quilt Judy! Thank you for sharing!

Rose Grace
Rose Grace (Don't you just love that name?) brought her lovely pink and green nine patch quilt in to be long arm quilted. Soft spring colours make for a gorgeous vintage floral quilt.
Finishing at 48" x 55" she chose the E2e design Feather Cascade using Glide thread Seafoam. This is one of the prettiest quilts in a nine patch you can imagine! Love It!
Thank you to Rose for sharing.

Vickie Hendricks
Vickie Hendricks brought her gorgeous lap quilt in to be long armed. Vickie is so good at the scrappy quilts, I can only dream of getting that good. Somehow she just makes the fabrics and colours all work together. I tend overthink it.
Vickie's quilt finished at 55" x 68" so a nice lap size. She chose Starz for the E2E quilting and Cool Grey 7 for the top thread.
Thank you so much Vickie for sharing!

Joan MacDonald
Joan MacDonald really stretched her comfort zone by creating this lovely quilt all in neutrals of creams and whites. Finishing at 49" x 59" the quilt has a modern clean clear look. Joan, you did amazing on this quilt and should be so proud of yourself! Yeah YOU!
The quilt was E2E quilted using a great pattern called New Growth 2 and the thread of choice is Glide Shell.
Thank you Joan for sharing and congratulations of a fabulous finish!

Sally Andrysiak
Sally Andrysiak brought her incredible Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilt in to be long arm quilted. Finishing at 94" x 94" this one is called Old Town Mystery. I am not too sure how many pieces are in the quilt.....but it is a lot!
Sally chose Asian Lily for the E2E quilting and Glide thread Linen for the top. The quilting is a bit more dense because in a quilt with this many pieces you want to lock down as many of the seams as possible.
Thank you so much Sally for sharing!

Colleen Shea brought her amazing Rily Blake quilt called Calico Garden in to show us. She pieced it, appliqued it and then quilted it! Holy Moly Colleen, that is amazing! Finishing at 90" x 90" this one is a lot of work, but so worth it at the end!

Australian Wagga Quilts
I had never heard of a Wagga Quilt before reading this article. This article is really interesting with a great step back in time to when utility quilts were the norm. Click on the Read More Button for the rest of the story!
From the feed sack quilts stitched during the Depression Era to the scrappy quilt patterns of today, the art of making do has resonated with quilters for generations. And this is not a phenomenon limited to North American quilters. As a result of hardship caused by drought, depression, war, and plagues, Australia has its own rich tradition of make-do quilting that dates back to the late 19th century: utilitarian quilts known as waggas.

Grippy for safer cutting!
Grippy is a product you use on the back of your rulers to keep them from sliding around when you are trying so hard to cut accurately. Another idea for using the Grippy......Spray it on the back of your little cutting mat to keep it from sliding around the table. This would be mainly for the little mats you may have beside your sewing machine. We cannot ship via Canada Post but other carriers are an option. You can phone the shop and we can make the magic happen 250-376-7630.
We have a great little YouTube video to watch on how to use the product. We have it in stock so check it out in store or online.
